MSI TV@Anywhere PLUS and Windows 7

I didn't need any other codecs or such, and in fact had less trouble getting it set up to run on W7 than when I 1st bought it a few years ago and setting up on XP.

You guys can try removing everything related to your TV@+ installation & start over following the steps I did.

To tell the truth I didn't expect it to work after reading what you guys posted so far. ;D

Well it was after I installed it, let me take a quick look again.

Just checked and it's no longer working, guess I need to spend some time with it tomorrow and see what I come up with. This bugs me that it worked perfect after getting it running the 1st time around and not now.

Something I found and so simple it's disgusting, right click on the black screen and open the 'Setup' window and click on the 'Video' tab and change the settings, click OK at the bottom when done. This is after simply installing the Vista drivers from MSI and doing nothing else.

Brightness = 110
Contrast = 59
Hue = 0
Saturation = 59
Sharpness = 0

Here's a picture of what settings I'm referring to.

Fine tune adjustments to suit your monitor and eyeballs! :what?:

I have started and stopped TV@+ several times and it's still working just fine after setting as above.

Edit: I did install the codecs yesterday in Svet's 'Reply #10' above just in case, I remember needing to do such a thing when I 1st got the card a few years ago.

Keep in mind that I still have it running in XP SP2 compatibility mode. I'll try changing that a little later and see if it makes any difference.

Edit: I just tried it changing compatibility to each of the Vista settings and it still worked OK.

Edit again: Now that I've posted that solution I did some more digging and found this.

I don't know that it should make any difference but I have W 7 build 7100, since I installed it I haven't bothered to update to any of the later builds so I don't know if that would have any effect.
Is this the message you get? I get the same thing so it seems like nothing to worry about.

The color scheme has been changed to Windows 7 Basic
A running program isn't compatible with certain visual elements of Windows.

Its because its an older program, you'd probably get the same message if you used it in Vista with the Aero theme.

mostwanted, remember, you will have to reinstall the OS and programs when you decide to go to the purchased W7.

I had the exact same problem as the OP (using windows 7 64bits legit release) and found that the solution in post #25 by Henry surprisingly worked great! I just can't believe it was simply a matter of adjusting sliders... wow...

I needed to sign in only to thank you for the support Henry!  :worship:

Finlay is working on my Win 7 too. Previusly was something different. When I try to change contrast and that stuff it was alwys the same, but yesterday I install other version of Win 7 and it works.
