MSI TV@Anywhere PLUS remote control shut down problem

Hi!

I have a MSI TV@Anywhere PLUS card working fine. I use the remote control without problem. Except that, when i want  to shut down my PC with it. I push "POWER", the app closes, and after that i push "RESET" and I get this: "Press "Power" to shut down your computer, or any other key to cancel" . But whatever I try to push on the remote, nothing happens...but by the mouse, the OK or Cancel buttons work.
Can somebody help , what is going on?

I don't know if it would make any difference but what OS are you using? I can test mine a little later and see what it does. I don't use the remote because I don't use my TV@+ very much anyway. In the past I never tried to shut down PC with the remote.

Hi!

Some spec. of my system:
XP pro SP3, Intel Celeron D 315 2266 MHz, ASRock P4VM800, 1536 MB DDR SDRAM.

The interesting thing is that when I installed the card softweres, by accidentally, I installed also the "TV@Anywhere PRO" card's remote utility (HMCP3XCtl.exe). So I had 2 remote clients run at the same time:
TV@Anywhere PRO: HMCP3XCtl.exe
TV@Anywhere Plus: P3XRCtl.exe
In this case, the remote behaviour was really undeterministic, almost unusable, but so strange, because the "RESET"+"POWER" combo worked, and i managed to shut down my PC remotely.
Ok, I removed HMCP3XCtl.exe from win autostart, so only P3XRCtl.exe runs now. Remote works perfect, except the "RESET"+"POWER" combo stucks...

I try this one time but I didn't close TV first.
I watch TV and then I push "Reset" and PC turn off.(Win XP)

During that TV app running, the "RESET" button does not do anything in my case...I turn off the TV app, and then RESET produces the above mentioned window, what says I have to push "POWER" button if i want shut down...but not working...

I tried mine and it doesn't shut off either. Now that I think about it, it never did. I never needed that function so I never gave another thought to it anyway.

well, it is quite an important feature, because i only watch tv at nights before sleeping would be nice to shut down PC from bed like a normal TV.... (and yes, i know how to schedule shut down, but it is not the same, or other alternative is a 3 meter long cable to my PC power button )

probably i will need some other app, maybe i can bind some combo from the MSI remote to launch winXP shutdown.exe .... annoying when I buy a product and I want to use it as it was made for...

I solved my problem with some trying, this msi remote is really funny....

Okey, so It appears that, when the above mentioned "shut down or cancel" window comes up pushing the "RESET" on my remote, the remote app. stops receiving commands/stops working. If i close this window, I am able to use again my remote controller. phhhh....

All right, lets use the built-in mouse/pointer controller to click (5) on OK in the window, when it is asking for shut down... NOT working either, because as i mentioned above, when the window appears, the remote stops working... jejeje

So, I made a shutdown.exe command icon on the desktop, and I can click on it with my remote...solved...
(the remote controller cannot navigate the cursor above the windows taskbar i do not no why..., besides this, it is ridiculous how difficult to move the cursor with he controller, pushing like crazy )
