Hello, I bought an Aegis gaming desktop today. It came with the MSI Gaming combo. The keyboard works fine. The mouse buttons seem to work however there is no pointer at all. I can right click and get a menu to open but that is it. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I have tried to reset the mouse by turning it off and holding the two buttons down, didn't work. Tried rebooting, didn't work. It says driver is updated. HELP. Thanks.

So the lightweight mouse is bundled with Aegis RS2, I got it now.
I suggest you create a web ticket to MSI directly >

I am having the same issue with the Ultra-Lightweight gaming mouse.
Let me give you an update! I took it back to the store I bought it from and they tried to give me a $5 mouse! I lost my mind. They then replaced it with one that I chose that was comprable because MSI refused to do anything about it. That is crazy. The mouse is basically dead. I bought my computer from Micro Center and in the end they took care of it when they realized I wasn't dumb and wouldn't take a cheapo $5 mouse.

MSI refused to do anything about it.
Well, not like there is much faith in the MSI USA Branch doing good customer service
India used to lead the complaints department, but lately, the USA Branch is leaving them dead in the water

I am having the same issue for this mouse purchased in a package from Costco. I registered my system and tried to put in a web ticket multiple times. It failed each time even when I used the registered product link and it filled in all the fields. I hope this isn't a sign to come if this system has bigger issues down the road.

Here's an update on my issue: I worked with MSI, and they sent out another mouse with the same issue. So I ended up just buying a gaming mouse that fit my needs. The rest of the system and keyboard have been working great since I set it up.

Solution found!
I had the same issue with the Ultra-lightweight gaming mouse that came with the MSI Aegis Gaming PC (AMD Ryzen R9-7900X/32GB RAM/2TB SSD/RTX 5080/Windows11).
The mouse was seemingly functional on most parts, but the cursor didn't move (if you could find it). I raised a ticket with MSI as my computer was still under warranty and they sent me a new one, which i received today.....same issue.
Upon further troubleshooting, I discovered that it won't work on traditional mouse pads or any black surface. Once I remove the mouse pad, the cursor began to work - directly on the surface of my table (wood laminate). I tried it out on a black workbook - no movement, tried it out on a piece of white and then green paper - no issues. Not sure why MSI didn't share the solution or recommend any troubleshooting, would save them some money.
In any case, I ended up purchasing a Logitech G502 wireless because it's simply a better mouse for gaming and I gave the MSI mouses to family members.

Try using on a non-black surface, this is how i resolved my issue - my original and MSI issued replacement both had this issue. It works on my desk without any mouse pad.
