Audio keeps failing randomly, this has been happening for 3 weeks and i had the device for about 2 month, i tried the following:

1- Removed shitty Nahimic app and drivers
2- disabled audio enhancements
3- did an EC reset.
4- updated all graphics and audio drivers
5- rolled back drivers after uodate as issue persisted and installed manually through MSI website, same issue happens.
6- tested external speakers and headphones, issue doesn't happen, only with built-in speakers
7- Always gets fixed with a restart, but if i dont this buzzing sound does't go away even if i disable realtek speakers but laptop keeps working fine.

I would be very grateful if anyone can help me here as the only option i can see left is to send for a service

I assume you are having the latest Vector 16 HX AI with the RTX 50 series graphics card.
Try to update BIOS to the latest version(E15M3IMS.111) and check if the problem persists.

The problem still persists. This is not related to a specific model - I have the same problems with my 17 HX with 275HX and RTX5090

I have done every thing possible u can image other than sending it for a service, i honestly dunt understand what happend as it was working fine like 2 weeks ago, but now it's nearly unusable, very very high pitched whiny crackling sounds and sometimes randomly complete buzzing sounds where i have to restart the laptop to get rid of it

ecific model - I have the same probl
when did it start for u? After any specific driver update? Because I am betting this is a horrible driver update, either Realtek Audio or Intel Smart Sound because The speakers sounded awesome when i bought the laptop 2 months ago

Also when i try to update BIOS it says better to update through windows system updater but when i do it just downloads it and nothing happens, doesn't even request a restart, and says that it failed to download it even tho i have the older version of the BIOS which is 1.0 not 1.1

This seems really random to me, but I encountered the same issue with both drivers - the default from MSI and the latest versions from Intel and Realtek.
I guess it was more stable with drivers from MSI, but I need to use a bit more to confirm really..

I managed to update the BIOS manually, but legit on start the issue happend :-)

I dunt know man, not a good exp. for a first time MSI laptop user, specially a high-mid range one for that, this has basiclly ruled out using the laptop without headphones for me for now

In my opinion, MSI is doing a disservice by creating multiple models with the same Hardware issues. They should focus on optimising stability, performance, and noise levels, rather than producing numerous models.

I would recommend updating BIOS manually, would be much stabler and reliable than Windows update.
Windows update failed without any reason.

Already done, but issue is getting worse, buzzing sound and can only be fixed with a restart, i submited a support ticket to MSI but it's as if they dunt even read what i have wrote as they have asked me to do the troubleshooting steps that i had already done and explained in details on the ticket

Try to uninstall Norton 360 software and check if the problem persists.
If the problem persists after that, please kindly share more detailed information about how and when the problem would occur.

I have a clear installation of Windows without any bloatware like Norton 360 and have these issues with audio. Tried everything already together with reinstallation of drivers according to MSI description, but it doesn't help.. https://pl.msi.com/faq/faq-3640

Would you please share how the problem occurs in a specific scenario or more detailed information?
No specific scenario, just randomly happens, that's the annoying part about it, i am like 90% sure it's either the Realtek audio drivers or Intel Smart Sound driver

Maybe you both should try to turn off the hardware acceleration in the browser first.
Would the problem occur while playing music offline?
According to the video @midoshabban1157002dd shared, the problem occurs while playing YouTube video.
Would the problem occur in all of the browsers? Edge, Chrome, etc.

Which exact version is installed on the laptop?

I can not switch off hardware accelereation in the browser because I need it for google meet.

I can tell you more - it also affects the external card that I have iFI ZEN Dac V2 - sound is crackling same way as for Realtek...

I know u're trying to help here dude but this happens with everything that uses audio, games, downloaded video, streaming, music...etc.
And it's soooooooo random, it could literally happen on boot up, or after 5 hours of using the device, it's 100% a driver compatibility issue and it's honestly stupid that it has been going on for this long without a fix either from MSi or Realtek, i found reddit posts on MSi's subreddit from 4 month ago reporting this issue and people are still commentiong on the SAME POST saying that they are still facing the same exact issue with the vector line up
