Msi Vigor GK40 keyboard lighting.

I have a B450M MORTAR TITANIUM motherboard and a GK40 mouse. In mystic Light program I link them together with the breathing function. All works ffine for a while then I hear a windows sound (disconnect usb sound) and my keyboard lighting freezes on a color. I open Mystic lighting again and the chainlink symbol is broken. At that point I can 1- reconnect chain link and apply to get it going again, or 2- just click the check mark under the profile saved and leave the link broken and it resyncs up again. To me number 2 should not work but it does. Any suggestions?  Thanks.
