Hi,
I brought a MSI x58 Platinum Motherboard. The spec is as follows:
Intel Corei7 920.
MSI X58 Platinum Motherboard
2 GB Transcend DDR3@1333mhz
Ati Radeon 4670@512 MB.

After assembling the above,I started my system. The motherboard power LED lights up and when I switch on the main power switch everything seems to kick in ( drives, CPU fan etc ) but then nothing happens! The screen remains blank ( the monitor doesn't even come out of standby mode and switch on ), but more worryingly, I don't get any BIOS beeps.I've tested the CPU, memory, graphics card independantly in another machine and they seem to be working fine. Please help.

Please provide a link to the product page of your memory modules for reference.

What PSU are you using?  Please post full PSU specs (brand, model name and current limits (A) on the main power rails (12V, 5V and 3.3V)).

Have you tried clearing CMOS with main A/C power cable removed from PSU at any point?

Did you hook up the DLED2 to check if there is any particular error message?

I don't get any BIOS beeps

You need to hook up a speaker to the corresponding pin header on the mainboard to be able to hear beeps if there are any.  Also, depending on the kind of issue, there may not be any beeps because the system stalls before the if-there-is-a-problem-throw-out-a-beep routine can kick in to throw out a beep.

Make absolutely sure your ram is compatible.
Ran into the same problem with some G.Skill ram on this motherboard.
Had to get some Corsair ram that was X58 certified. Some DDR3, older stuff, is too high voltage or just simply incompatible.
