system

msi x58 pro-e main board
intel core i7 930 cpu
corsair 750tx psu
6 gigs corsair xms3 ddr3 1333 ram
asus gtx275 gpu
western digital caviar blue 1tb HD
windows vista 64

my system ran fine at 3.2 ghz overclock, passed 20 passes of intel burn test, but as i tried going to 3.4ghz it would not pass stability test so i decided to shut down and clear the cmos to try overclocking agian. i  first unplugged the computer from the wall, flipped the psu power switch to off, held in front power switch to drain all power left in system. i then held in the clear cmos button for 5 seconds. plugged everything back in and tried to boot but nothing happens. the weird thing is the front power led and the led on the mainboards power switch light up right after i flip the psu power switch to on. but no fans come on, hard drive does not spin, moniter stays blank, no other leds light up on the main board. any ideas? thanks

Shut it down again(meaning switch the power off the PSU and remove the power cord).  Hit the power button on the case a few times, hit the clear CMOS button a few times, remove the CMOS battery for 10 minutes and hit the CMOS clear button a couple of times again.  Put everything back again and check all power connections(always possible you knocked into something the first time), plug the PSU back in and turn the PSU on.  Now try to power up again.

well i let the computer sit overnight unplugged and today it booted up fine. i dont know what happened but im guessing the cmos fully cleared after sitting without power all night. thanks
