Currently experiencing a weird beeping issue with the MSI X58 Pro-E.

PC specs are as follows.

Windows 7 64bit
Intel i7 940 CPU stock clocked
6gb ddr3 corsair tri channel ram stock clocked
620 watt corsair modular power supply
ATI Radeon 5850 stock clocked
1 - Intel x-25m 160gb drive
1 - WD Black 1TB hdd

Every now and then the motherboard will just beep incessantly and then cease to beep.
There are no warning signs and no normal beep codes that I am used to.

Shall I chalk this up as a faulty board?  If so I will bring it back to Fry's for a replacement since I got an extended warranty through them.

Please chime in with an answer if possible.

Thank you,

Is the beeping from the case speaker or through your sound card (or onboard sound) & speakers?

The board itself doesn't have a speaker. Did you connect the case speaker wires to the boards JFP2? If this happens at startup, it may just be the signaling of the number of USB devices you have connected. It would be normal to hear beeps.

Well the interesting thing about this is, it just started doing this even though I have had this setup for more than 6 months.
Again, the beeps are random and do not follow normal beep codes.

So I booted to the bios and checked temps there.
Sure enough they were elevated.

CPU temp showed 34C/95F
IOH 79C/174F
SYS TEMP 41C/104F

It turns out the side fan on my case was not on.
I turned this back on and will report findings after a few days.

Turns out this was a thermal issue.
With all fans running I am no longer experiencing the problem.
Thanks for the assist.
