Hello,

I'm looking for the pinout for the JSPI1 on the MSI z370 SLI Plus motherboard. There didn't seem to be any mention of the port in the documentation.

My brother was working on building a PC. He ended up passing away last month and I inherited his project. I'm trying to get this PC up and running, but I have run into an issue. He had bought an Intel i9 processor for use with his brand new MSI z370 SLI Plus motherboard, but as I understand it the motherboard cannot read an i9 without an update. I am losing my job in about two weeks, so I can't afford to bring it in somewhere and have it done professionally and I cannot get a visual display from the computer to do the BIOS update in the normal fashion, so I was looking at trying to use the JSLI1 port alongside my Raspberry Pi Zero to flash the BIOS with the update so I can get this computer up and running.

Any help you can give would be fantastic.

make sure you use only a 1.8V VCC on the chip as it is a low voltage chip and accepts only a 1.8V power line to the chip
