MSI Z690-A WIFI DDR4 with bent pins? (SOLVED)

I bought the motherboard Z690-A WIFI DDR, and when I opened the package, it looks like there are some bent pins in the CPU socket (picture).
I didn't install any CPU yet, I don't have one at the moment, so I can't test the motherboard.
Can someone help me understand if there is actually some bent pin?

Those are definitely bent pins.

This is very suspicious, because a new motherboard will never come without the plastic socket protection cover, and you never remove the cover until you have actually put the CPU into the socket and close the socket lever (then the protection cover will be simply popped off by the CPU). So it looks like this is a used board that somebody must've returned before. Or, when you made the mistake of checking under the protection cover of a brand new board, you might have done this yourself by accident without even realizing it. It can happen very quickly as the pins are very fragile.

You are correct, and I bought it as "new" motherboard that was claimed to be returned without any use. However, when I opened the box, the board was shipped without the socket protective cover and with loose items on top. I didn't even buy a CPU yest ... I just wanted to confirm that these are actually bent pins to request the return/refund from the seller.

Yeah, shipping without the socket protection cover in place is not allowed by MSI, and they would outright refuse an RMA without the cover being in place. But i guess you can work it out with the seller somehow. Because they clearly did something with the board, the cover doesn't come off by itself, so they can't really claim the board to be new.

About the pins, they all have to look exactly the same in position and in height, like a very neat row of soldiers or something. As soon as you spot something off with some of them, you will have bent pins.
