Hello

I am trying to purchase an MSI Z690 godlike motherboard and they are none to buy anywhere, I live in the UK and can't get one anywhere.

I did manage to get on the global MSI store and they are letting you pre order for the motherboard only with no kit accessories, The only thing being is you have to live in the

U.S.A to pre order, the other thing being you have to have a previous godlike motherboard and I currently have an MSI Z590 godlike at the moment.

Can anyone help as to where I could buy the Z690 godlike motherboard anywhere at all?

I could have bought one on eBay from China although it was selling for £2,900 which I would under no circumstances pay that, It would be very much appreciated if anyone can help?

Maybe check here: https://www.msi.com/Landing/the-best-has-yet-to-come

It says "Eligible Regions: PRC/JP/AU/TW/AE/TH/VN/USA/DE/UK/ES/FR/RU/DK/FI/SE/NO". I think you're always gonna have to go the registration / signing up route, since you have to have previously purchased an older GODLIKE motherboard or an RTX 3080 or 3090 graphics card from MSI and registered the product online. So by signing up for it, that's the only way they can ensure that.

Note that even for that money, it leaves something to be desired here and there.

HI There

I registered my MSI Z590 GODLIKE with MSI and they said I would receive a message no later than today, Thank you very much for your reply, do you think this motherboard is a waste of time then, for someone asking £2900 is absolutely mad, what price do they normally retail at? is there any Z690 motherboards you would recommend?

The official price for the Z690 GODLIKE is US$ 2099. To be honest, i was never a fan of the GODLIKE. Those board models, since about the Z490 generation, but even more since Z590, have become more of a money grab than an effective technological improvement. The price limit for a board using the most high-end reasonable components is about 500-700 EUR/USD, i'd say. Above that, they can keep adding more high-end VRM powerstages and semi-useless displays, but the practically relevant returns get diminished way too much for it to make any sense. For the electrical performance regarding CPU VRM capability, the ACE board model is usually equipped with some of the best components already, and more than enough VRM phases to comfortably handle even the most extreme CPU model. So regarding high-end boards from MSI, the MEG Z690 ACE is as high as i'd go. Add your own water or air cooler of choice and some RAM and you're good to go. You can even buy the same MEG CoreLiquid S360 AIO that's bundled with the Z690 GODLIKE.

The Z690 GODLIKE only improves on the ACE in ways that won't make a difference for most users, except in the user's wallet and MSI's profit margin. And for the price they want for it, they didn't execute every detail to perfection well enough. The Z390 GODLIKE cost 500 EUR, now that was reasonable for the most high-end board. Nowadays, look at the Z690 ACE, it's already 650 EUR.
