Just building a new system and notice my BIOS was V1.0 in Live Update. Tried using Live Update to update it (twice) and nothing seemed to happen. So instead booted in the BIOS and used M-Flash to update it to the latest V1.8.

The process seemed to work find, but when it rebooted itself, the system no longer works.

Any attempt to now turn the system on results in about 1/2 a second of activity and then it turns off and loops.

Fans start, the MB lights up (show a debug of "00"), and that's it!

Tried resetting the CMOS, removing the battery for several minutes... Nothing helps!

Really not very impressed!

Well, the board is bricked as the flash failed and due to the absence of a backup bios on Gaming 5 you need to rma the board.

Similar issue here with a different board, but this time my computer will remain on, but will not POST (No display, all keyboard buttons remain lit, all fans are sped up to capacity each time) My h97m e35.

If clearing CMOS didn't solve the issue, then the board is bricked.
