windows 8.1  startup logo width, (MSI Z97 Gaming 9 ac + monitor LG D2343p)
I think the problem in the monitor, but when I tried it with my laptop (Windows 8.1) which is connected to the same monitor, Windows 8.1 startup logo, normal.
whether the problem is in the vga or on the motherboard?

motherboard bios or vga, which makes Windows 8.1 logo width?

the width of the image is usually from the board and then it just scales it to your monitor (typically a 16x9 aspect ratio on the image it uses)

I use the bios 1.7.
whether it can be fixed, its scales seem wrong.
my laptop using a resolution of 16: 9, but when connected to a monitor LG d2343P, Windows 8.1 logo image does not like my PC (MSI Z97 Gaming 9 AC). (width)

Are you able to try different monitor/TV?
Also try different video connection (HDMI, DVI, VGA, DP). Also try your current connection (e.g. HDMI) with different, known to work, cable.

I've tried to connect my PC to the TV Sony 42 inc, and samsung LCD monitor. but the result is the logo remains wide.

when i set to enable full screen logo in bios, windows 8.1 startup logo not shown. only "MSI LOGO"

Can't see the photo you attached (it seems because it's source from asus forum :rolleyes:)
Did you mean the blue window logo with dots circle?

Are you using UEFI win8.1 and enable the win8 feature in bios?

I have seen this before, it seems that this fat windows logo will show with UEFI win8 installed no matter what motherboard you are using.
But I thought it's because UEFI and non-UEFI systems are using the different logo resolutions,
I didn't take this as an issue, does this affects any function?  :think:

So you haven't even tried running a game, web browser or anything. Is that correct? Because simple Windows logo badly scaled doesn't mean something is bad/not working properly enough to say that games and normal usage of PC is impossible.

I simply suggest playing few different games and see what happens there.

I've tried to play the game.
I do not understand, does this affect the scale of the game.
but I feel like less comfortable.

this is also the case, when I install windows, MSI  image logo displayed on my monitor, from the middle upwards.
