new top this but hope someone here can help i recently built a new mini itx pc here are specs
Corsair 250D
Z97I GAMING AC
Intel G3258
Corsair Vengence 8GB 1666hz
Evga Gtx 760 SC
Samsung evo 840 SSD
WD green Hdd
Corsair H100i

Now Build was all good up to the point of me trying to connect to the intel dual band ac7260 Wifi. well it wasnt there so i messed around abit and eventually got the intel wireless utility on and had symbol in bottom corner.BUT the drivers werent there and i got this message wireless hardware is not bound to transport driver, so i did some more digging finding the drivers and got them. i installed them and now it says adapter is not loaded.or something like that.

does anyone know anything about this or can help??
Only reason i got this board was for the wifi and the heatsinks.
my old pc was tooo big.

Sounds identical to my board/adaptor. I just tonight got mine to work by fluke by switching to windows 7 from windows 8.1.

sorry forgot to mention am already on windows 7 64bit it driving me mad.
please could you screen shot your device manager page with network tree open i want to see if am missing something.

I just tried windows 8.1 install and everything showed up like it was supposed too. See screenshot below. I can only guess it was a bios issue that causes AC not to show. I would check board explore in bios to see if you can see AC card if not take AC out and reseat ( I did this by flipping board upside down and using notch in AC adapter to see pin alignment). If it is seated properly I suggest bios update to latest but DO NOT use Mflash or live update use the forum flash tool ONLY!!

i'm having hard time with wifi on this mobo as well.

so far i tried windows 7 and 8, everything updated, every driver installed but my wifi just doesnt show up in Device Manager. bluetooth yes, installed and working ok, but wifi no way, nothing. in device manager everything is ok, no "other devices", like everything is installed as it should be.
software for wifi installed but saying "no driver installed" when windows boots up.

i tried bios 1.4 and 1.3 updated both with "fpt" and "forum usb flasher", same results.

in bios Board explorer wifi module is grayed out and bios says it's empty. (pcie x1 slot : empty),
i say again, bluetoot is working just fine (and i rly need wifi, not bt)

what else can i try? or should i just rma?

thx

I believe wifi gets disabled if a network cable is plugged in. If the adapter is not showing in board explorer it is not recognized. Flash bios to 1.5 using only forum flash tool. try a fresh install of windows 8.1 using rufus set to gpt partition for uefi computer and set bios to windows 8/8.1 mode

I am so sorry I mistook your board for mine. yours may only have 1.4 as the latest. I would try and reseat the AC adapter. It is my experience it has to show in board explorer to be recognized. When u install windows does it recognize the bluetooth right away on boot after install of windows?

np,
in windows 8 bluetooth is installed righ away, on first fresh boot it shows up in network adapters and device manager, together with killer lan. what do you mean by ac adapter?

Hmm does sound like it knows its there. I call the bluetooth/wifi the Ac adapter. Do you have a network cable plugged in? That could be disabling wifi

i tried with ethernet cable and without, also tried to reseat the ac but no luck, i even disassembled it completely and everything looks ok inside. somehow wifi part of ac module is not wokring at all. i dont think there is anything else i can try.

ok, update of my issues

pins were all aligned as they should be.
eventually i rma the board and soon got a new one. wifi module is now present in bios and windows as well.

problem that i have now is i think somekind of driver issue maybe or hardware incompatibility? as soon as i install wifi driver my screen starts to flicker and intel graphics driver crashes, then it restores itself and over and over again. this occurs randomly and depends on driver version of intel hd graphics as i noticed, so with one version it crashes so often that blank screen is all i see and then it bsod, while with some other driver version it crashes every minute or so but restores right away.

this all happens with windows 7 64bit installed on kingston ssd hyperx fury, i tried this combo with kali linux and it's the same... annoying flickering.

than i installed win7 64bit on regular sata2 hdd wd320 blue together with all drivers and this graphics driver crashing DO NOT OCCUR!

should i look for magic driver combo on my ssd or just forget about it?

this board is frustrating me so bad, damn you msi!
