My 144hz monitor, after two weeks of not using it, dropped to maximum 120hz.

I don't know why, I haven't messed with any settings to my knowledge. The monitor is roughly 3 years old and has worked fine till then, I'm also still using the same HDMI cable I did two weeks ago. Can anyone please help?

in specific games or everywhere? Can you try reinstall the graphics card driver?

Do you use NVIDIA graphic card? If so, please adjust your screen resolution. In the NVIDIA Control Panel navigation pane, under Display, click Change resolution to open the Change Resolution page. Under “Choose the resolution,” select the maximum resolution under PC, and then check if this helps resolve the problem.

Are you using a laptop with a hybrid graphics card? If so, please check the integrated Intel or AMD GPU settings to see if you can change the display refresh rate.
