Hi. I'm using the last version of bios. when i apply for example E-core turbo ratio offset or turbo ratio Manually. after a restart. when i go to hwinfo. for a moment i see the correct ration but second after that it goes back to the default.
some times it boot as default and it dose not show it even for that moment. what is wrong with msi Bios?

which exact bios are you using?
did you try to modify other options to see if all other bios setting will be reset or only certain options will be reset??

Try first to clear CMOS...

Most options related to CPU overclocking and Voltages related are not saving. things like memory overclocking is working and saving normally as i said im using the lats bios version which is 7E17v1AB0

Could this be the eSIO Firmware bug from way back?

nobody here had the same issue like me? is it just me?
It is not just you.

in post number 46, one user was able to get his core voltages saved.
after he made changes in Click Bios X, he created a Profile .
He reset CMOS.
He restarted into Click Bios X.
He loaded the Profile he just created.
Core voltages did not change.

another thread:
https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?...ettings-dont-save-properly-bios-issue.417623/
in this thread Pangolin wrote that MSI official support could not duplicate the senario.
And look at post number 28. Brijosho postulates that if the system can't POST due to memory settings and the IMC, before giving up, the system will revert to previous (my thought: default?) settings, hence wiping out the changes made. This is refuted in following posts.

Ohh. thanks. so basically we wont specte to see any fix from the MSI support. cause they can not make the same scenario for themselves. ?

Hello, how are you? I have an MSI Z890 Tomahawk motherboard.

Initially, it wouldn't save the settings. I downloaded the "eSIO FW" program onto a flash drive and ran the update; after that, it began saving the settings correctly, even after disconnecting the power.

Thanks bro. but i already have installed that Update. infact i didn't need to install it and it was updated to the last version when i bought this MB.

This program is unrelated to updating the BIOS to the latest version; you can update the program even if the motherboard is already updated. It is designed to save your motherboard settings.

I know bro. i didnt talk about bios version. i was talking about that firmware you said. when i tried to update that. it said you already have the latest version and don't need to update.

exactly like this pic.

agree. i should have stick with the other brand.
I have tried other motherboards—such as ASRock—that were unstable at high memory frequencies, unlike MSI boards. I tested a 64GB kit, and it was completely stable even at 7200MHz; this is where MSI boards excel. There is a potential solution: replace the motherboard battery. Take the old battery with you, get an exact replacement with a valid expiration date, and give it a try.

ok. But my board isn't that old to switch it battery. i was hoping the MSI would try to fix this.

Give it a try—you have nothing to lose. Just make sure it matches and hasn't expired. It might solve the problem, and even if you spend a small amount—like $5—it won't hurt.
