my GTX 970M Can't handle games like Rust and R6S Anymore

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but at this point, i'm really desperate...
My pc has a GTX970M and an I7.

I could run all games no problem a few months back but suddenly my grapics card can't even handle rust on 20 fps good settings. This frustrates me as a GTX 970m is a good graphics card and I payed big money for this laptop.
Even my CSGO is choppy... My pc has 2 grapics card but i made sure that i used my gtx. I haven't yet got my laptop checked but if noone can help i'm afraid i have to. The local pc shops aren't really trustworthy in my city this is why i come here. Guys this may not be the best place to post this but instead of reporting this i could really use some help! The only game I really can play without lag is Pokemon and Heartstone. EDIT: I have already updated my grapics card so it isn't that.

Check the temperatures of ur CPU and GPU when attempting to play something, and check on google, check the bios updates, graphic card updates... And also read this article, maybe it has a fix for u at least for the Heartstone.. PEACE!

Well a 970m should be way more than enough for rust cause I used to play that on a 670m with really good frames. Have you done monthly maintenance like blowing off the dust from the fans and other parts inside? If you haven't already I recommend getting a dustcan and doing so asap. Also, I'm assuming by 2 graphics cards you mean you have nvidia optimus where it has a built in intel card that activates for less demanding activities. Make sure that rust isn't running with the intel instead of the 970m.

you should use rtx 3090 graphic card

When attempting to play something, check the temperatures of your CPU and GPU, as well as google, bios updates, graphic card updates, and so on. Also, read this article; it might include a solution for you, at least for the Heartstone. PEACE!
