My IP Adress has been blocked.

Today I opened the forum, It says that your IP Address has been blocked.
Why would someone do that?
What did I do?

No
I use my mobile network to access the forum now.
Someone banned my broadband ISP to access the forum

It's banned due spam reasons,
for exception will be lifted now, and will be re-evaluate.
Be noted if the spam persist, it could be banned permanently again without notice.
 
I didn't do anything that is a spam
And I don't even change my IP address.
My ISP gave me a static IP address.
Well, thanks for removing the ban

i was the one who had that range banned. it was Because a Spammer was using it last Year and it looks like Recently your ISP has now Given that to you as it was blocked back in 2021 so was nothing you did it was someone else who is using the Same ISP as you.

It happens as ISP's do Like to Rotate what IP they Give you.

Well, I never noticed much, but 1st 3 digits always stay same.
From now on, I am gonna keep an eye out for it.
I must tell you that I use mobile network and broadband both, that make my IP different too.

first 3 of your IP is just the Contrary Allocated Block that nearly everyone in your Geographical Area can use that your ISP has the Rights to Allocate out to its Users.

its the last 3 blocks that will change as its in 4 blocks lets say it starts with 200 it would be they have the address 200.0.0.1 to 200.255.255.255 to allocate and they can give you any between them

I took Cisco Networking years ago to learn about Networks

its the last 3 blocks that will change from your ISP as its in 4 blocks lets say it starts with 200 it would be they have the address 200.0.0.1 to 200.255.255.255 to allocate and they can give you any between them.

To avoid IP getting changed

So most times once your Router is connected to the Modem it will keep the same IP unless it is power cycled, turned off, reset or loses power.
It will change to a different IP if it has another network device connected to it like a different Router or a PC or laptop with network card.
Powering off the Modem will do the same it may be assigned a new IP

One Use a router connected to your Modem and leave it connect and powered on at all times.
Two do not plug your laptop in to your Modem via network a cable.
Do not turn your Modem Off leave it on.
Do not turn you Router off leave it on.

Out of interest do you use a community server like UNI or School a local Library ect

also the ISP if they reset there Equipment there end will Force the Connection to Drop and once there system Comes back online there system will send out a IP to your Router as there system Uses a DHCP where it pulls them from a Pool of them they have and depending on the Order the users Routers Respond Depends on the IP you get.

so never Turning off a Router is not a Sure fire Way to keep the Same IP Address as there are 3 points between you and the ISP that Can cause it to Change being:

1: the Actual Router in your Home (Any Power Outage, you restart it or the Router Updates its Firmware will force a New request for a IP)
2: the Telecoms Network Between you and the ISP (any Work there doing on Infrastructure or to the Nodes the DATA gets transmitted through have a issue and Reset that then makes your end drop out and ask again for a new IP)
3: the ISP Itself (any Maintenance they do or any overheats there end may make the whole network go into then Shuffling the IPS to Random Users as it comes back online)

at any of them 3 Points any Drop outs will Force a new IP onto you so even never turning it off your end will still have 2 points totally out of your Control where a Reset Can Happen.
 
I am gonna observe my ip change behavior.
I don't face power failure to modem or restart it, I reboot my modem once a day but I don't think so it changes my ip as ip is provided by isp.
I am gonna talk to them. I have some exams that's why busy a little.
