Hello people,
I've recently got an amazing MSI optix G24C4 Monitor to upgrade my gaming xperience. But I realise some issues, which I'm pretty sure they're part of my ignorance...
I linked my Laptop (Msi Katana GF66 11UC-045XES) to the monitor with a HDMI. Desktop refresh rate it´s awesome, as expected (Also Weird because it says it´s 144Hz but I can only set 120Hz...), but when I'm starting a game, the fps drops are huge, which is not happening when the monitor is not plugged, on my laptops screen.
So the big question is, how could I proceed to solve this?
-To buy a better HDMI cable (2.0 or 2.1)
-Monitor has a Displayport input, should I buy a HDMI to Displayport cable? (This one is not making much sense, because it should be backwards, right? From Displayport to HDMI?...)
I've installed the last drivers from my NVIDIA RTX 3050 and I did the same to the monitor. And something weird is also happening.
When I`m openning my NVIDIA control pannel (monitor plugged in) I only can see the 3d option, but anything else. I supposed to see the full screen options and configurations but i don't...
English is not my mother language so I hope you understand my problem explanation... =)
Also writting my Laptop specs up:
MSI Katana GF66 11UC-045XES
Intel Core i7-11800H
16 GB RAM
1TB SSD
NVIDIA GFORCE RTX 3050
Thank you so much in advance, and have a great day!!
