Hi,
this is my first time building a computer. I currently go to school for 3d visual effects and i decided to build a computer instead of buying one. I did like a month of trying to understand what i need for building a computer. i have some basic understanding on whats needed to build a computer.

So my problem is got all my parts and i started to build my computer. I tried to follow the MSI motherboard manual as close as i could. But when i hooked my monitor to my graphics card i don't get anything on the screen. I tried removing and reinstalling the graphics card but no go? Can anyone help me?

Heres whats in my System:

MSI X58 Pro LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Looks like the makings for a nice system snoopalu, & welcome to the forum btw.

Have you tried booting up after clearing CMOS with the power cord removed, & just one mem. stick in the black A0 DIMM slot? Also, set 'Spread Spectrum' in bios Cell Menu to 'Disabled'.

Just try with 1 RAM and see if the system boots up.

In fact, is there any life to the system the moment you press the power button?
