My MSi laptop's hinge has broken and it's only been a year since purchasing it :')

If you see the image, man, I'm really disappointed. I got this laptop last year so I could use it during my engineering course. I'm already at the end of the semester and now I have to find an alternative to my laptop cuz I have to send it off for repair. I live in west Malaysia and the only service center available in the entirety of Malaysia is in West Malaysia. With that added I have to wait like a month maybe for it to be sent back to me after it's been fully repaired. I have finals coming up and now I have to find a last minute alternative cuz I still have online classes. Honestly I think the hinges being on the outside instead of having inner hinges is a big design flaw. Do you guys have any ideas how to rectify this problem instead of using more money just to get it replaced? Or do you think I should send it off for repair?

Unfortunately it's a common fault with MSI laptops. I've MSI laptop myself, and it's second time the frame cracked in exactly same spot.

Really? That's definitely some new insight. How do you manage the problem? Or how do you prevent it from happening?

You don't prevent it, lol
I use my laptop for past 3 years only for Skype few times a month. And it simply broke after 200 or so times of open/close.
First time I was able to find frame on aliexpress which fitted perfectly and was fine. But didn't last long either just like original didn't..

The exact same thing happened to me (6 days after warranty ended!! - wouldn't have made much difference because they only make 1 repair per warranty period and I already had to send it back because the power jack also broke!) - these laptops are really poorly made. Will stay away from the in future for $1400 I would expect them to last longer than 8-12 months. I cannot even send it off for repair as the laptop will not close!
