So while cleaning my PC I was removing the side panel real slow and being careful. After I removed all the 4 screws and kept them aside I got back to the panel as the panel left the surface it shattered on its own like an explosion! I was shocked when that happened. Anyone got idea? I tried contacting MSI waiting for their reply. I expect a free replacement of side panel.

I wouldn't hope too much for that. A shattered sidepanel looks much like a user error. The glass is really sturdy it takes some force to shatter it.

Who did you contact for the replacement glass? I need one for my MSI case as well. Mine didn't break but I'm not a big fan of the tinted glass that the MPG GUNGNIR 100 comes with. I see what they were trying to do with making the case look very Stealth Fighter liked design but it does affect the lighting in the case by what appears like a 50% decrease in brightness. It looks like MSI decided to go with privacy glass and not tint film. Which is better aesthetically and durability wise but makes it impossible to remove due to the fact that the tint is actually baked into the glass.

The glass on my Gungnir 100 case also exploded into a million pieces. I've had no luck with MSI support. Can you tell me who they told you to contact? BTW - was a just setting the panel in place to screw it on and it exploded in my hand. There was no impact, no binding, no anything that I can attribute to making it shatter. I was floored that it happened. Thanks for your help.

Any chance you can share the contact info for the replacement tempered glass supplier? My Trident X Plus shattered recently as well. Totally my fault, but I need to replace it anyway. Thanks in advance.

I broke the glass of my MSI MAG FORCE 100M, but i cannot ask for support on the website as it refuses to accept my serial number.

strange because it accepted my serial number when registering the product in the member zone.

So please don't tell me to use the support on the website as it doesn't work... it's very frustrating, been trying for 2 hours now.

how can i ask for a new window or where can I buy/get one ?

please help

thank you

weird, if you log in to the member center and try to submit a ticket, at my product section, you can simply select your previously registered product and it fills out the correct serial number for you. Did you try that?
Also, some country does offer hotline service that you can simply call them and get help.

Hi, I found your story of the glass shattering. I don't believe it is user error. I just took 2 of the screws off a MAG case and while holding the other one the glass just exploded. No force on it, nothing. It just blew up. Then you could hear the glass making noises and literally jumping off the bench. Never seen this before. I took a video of the sound and the glass. Did MSi end up replacing your panel. I seriously believe these are defects. Let me know please. There are more stories regarding these exploding tempered glass sides.

I just posted about a side panel I was taking off exploding also. No force, nothing. Had the case laying flat and took out 2 screws and went to take out the other 2 and the glass just exploded everywhere. Cutting my hands and leg. The ridiculous thing is I was needing to replace a 240mm Mag Cooler for the second time, I think the pump has failed again. MSi need to address this sort of thing. I'm not letting it go.

Hi there, got the shock of my life from this, the glass literally exploded and that was from tapping it down 1mm. The sides aren’t protected and though someone mentions it’s ‘tough glass’.. it probably is… from the sides.

on the edges though it’s not protected and something like this is potentially dangerous. I have logged a ticket about mine because you can’t say that it should do this from a 1mm movement down onto a surface.

I can see lots of people complaining of the same so I expect this is maybe something they want to take seriously and protect the edges of the glass or risk something more ‘problematic’ happening..

I called support directly at 1-888-447-6564 went to desktop support and they have an option to speak to someone about parts and accessories purchases and the associate I talked to emailed me the info to purchase a replacement front panel for the 110m

Not sure you should be able to take measurements with a ruler or tape measure
