Mystic light doesn't detect my ARGB fans

I have a B550 Gaming Plus motherboard and a MSI Forge 100r case with the ARGB Hub. I connected my case fans, the fans from my MSI liquid cooler to the HUB and then the hub to the JRAINBOW1. WHen i go to Dragon Center and then the Mystic Light, the only component that is detected is the motherboard. Anyone knows why is this happening and how to solve it?

if the hub goes to JRAINBOW, you will have to configure JRAINBOW for the LED, which means it won't have a cooler icon for you to choose color, you simply go to motherboard section and make change there

Unfortunately it doesn't work. tried do it it on Select All and in PCH, and it doesn't change the fans, only the MB and a RGB strip i have.

what is your mystic light UI version? is it the latest?
also, can you connect the ARGB directly to the motherboard ARGB header and see if it make a difference?
does the onboard RGB change color when you select different LED styles?

I haven't tried to connect them directedly in a chained version. I have the latest version available in the site of Dragon Center. Currentely i have 6 aRGB headers connected to the HUB (2 fans of the case, another MSI mystic light compatable fan (cooler masters), 2 fans of the MSI liquid cooler and the Liquid cooler header) that is connected to the JRAINBOW1 and then have a MSI LED strip connected to the JRGB1. I can change the JRGB1 LED with the software even doe it doesn't show up, the motherboard one seems to be stuck in red too. can't seem to change it.

Have you tried to connect just one aRGB fan to the header?
Is it a new build? If you have applications like anti-virus, anti-cheat, or malware detection, Dragon center might act weird.
Also, do you have LED FW update in Dragon Center Live Update?

Try to connect one of your aRGB device directly to JRAINBOW1 header and try to control it in Dragon Center. Go to Mystic Light > select MB > click on the drop-down menu and select JRAINBOW1 > choose a lighting effect and apply.

1 single fan or 2 fans stacked worked, still does not appear detected on top but when selecting JRAINBOW1 and changing it does change. Weirdly can't find the same rainbow effect it does when connected to the case. Very weird problem. I ended up giving up and going with the control through the case. Sad doe

it is a new build, i bought almost everything MSI so it would all line up with the software and now it is disappointing that it doesn't. B550 gaming plus from MSI, MSI forge 100r case from MSI and the 240r liquid cooler from MSI. all to be in sink and can only sink the fans through the case.

i might be a little late to this post, i also had a problem with this, my rgb fans and wasnt sync with my motherboard. i finally found out that in order for your rgb fans to sync you must hold down the led button on the case for 5 sec and then your rgb fans will sync with the mobo. i hope this might be the solution your looking for cause now all my rgb fans colors are flowing with my color setup and theme.

I have a similar problem; I have the aRGB hub connected to jrainbow, and can change the fans color but I can’t control the “zones” separately. Either solid or one of the built in presets. Isn’t there a way to specify 2 different RGB values on each fan?

Update to this: I just added an MSI 240r AIO to this. I have all the additional aRGB plugs going into the hub of the mag forge case. That hub is plugged into the jrainbow 1 header. I can change the color of everything all at once but not individually and nothing shows up as it’s own device. Any way to have them show up separately?

nope, only if the device is connected to motherboard via USB cable, it has chance to show up in the Mystic Light as an individual device. Anything goes to JRAINBOW is defined as JRAINBOW "area" instead of a device simply becuz there is no way that motherboard can tell which device it is thru the RGB cable.

Hmmm. But how would that even be possible since the case fans, and hub only have an aRBG plug? Also, if everything connected to the aRBG hub is plugged into Jrainbow, is there any way to select things within that or is that “all-or-nothing?”

one header can only do one style at one time. If you plan to connect multiple devices to a single header, then all device will do the same style.
The best you can do is 1 style from JRAINBOW1 and 1 style from JRAINBOW 2.
Noted that if you connect too many ARGB device to a single header, it might fail becuz either the MCU (RGB controller chip) cannot handle that many LEDs or power consumption is too much.

Ah ok. This is good to know, thanks! Right now I have all my lighting going to the 6 slot hub built into the case. That is then plugged into Jrainbow 1. Is this ok to not overload the header? I can always take the cooler RGB off it and put it in jrainbow2 if that’s better to do.
