Mystic light is a poor RGB solution

Hello,

I am very disappointed with the very limited functions of Mystic light compared to what is done in other brands. For example, there is no gradient option that allows you to play on 2 colors. Only thing I've been able to find is rainbow and single colors. There is no individual LED addressing option either.

I sincerely think I will resell my newly purchased MSI X570 Tomahawk motherboard for another model from another brand and never go back to that brand just because of it.

true you cannot control each LED on motherboard individually, usually i'd just settle with rainbow mode or turn LED off but that's just me XD I personally don't know any other motherboard brand has similar function but i do know razer has the option. :beerchug: do you happen to have razer peripheral around so you can try using razer synapse to control the RGB?

I think the same, Mystic Light is not as good as Aura Sync, i bought a B550 Gaming Plus , discovered Mystic Light , lack off customise options and basics effects , i have adressable rgb fans i wanna use them well so i looked for open source like OpenRgb or JackNet
I felt another time when i seen that it only works good with older gen and new gen OpenRGB can brick your led controler so they disable it so it's useless
JackNet works bad because of MSI's sdk only u can do is a gradient effect color all fans same color.
I had a last hope when i seen that Mystic Light works with Razer Chroma, i was very happy because i can do my own effects or import them Razer is better than Mystic , ok i'm installing razer synapse but i don't know why but Mystic Light doesn't see Razer , i don't have the Razer Gamesync button ... Razer can see Mystic it's connected ....... what the hell is that [***CENSORED***] of MSI i bought.
Like you i think next time for another brand because what we want is a soft within we can control our fans fan per fan our leds led per led with timers and fans location to make very cool effects, customise presets save import from the net etc.... like this it's for low brand fans. U can do some good things plugin 2 jrainbow but only 3 profiles.
IF Mystic light add Icue support then we are saved

I finally sold my MSI motherboard for an ASUS and their Aura Creator solution a few months ago and man, the difference in terms of the possibility of RGB settings is huge. Not only can you set 2 colors for some effects but you can also layer the effects above it on the same device. For example, applying a static background of one color and applying a comet effect of another, or even applying multiple comet effects on the same device. For example, for the comet effect, you can also choose the speed, the timing or the angle and the direction of the effect. You can configure several effect layers like this or alternate them with other effects and color, it's fully configurable. You can save each build of effect and just switch when you want.. The possibilities are enormous and have absolutely nothing to do with those of MSI. I do not regret having gone to Asus and, as I have already said, I will not come back again to MSI because of this, whatever the device. I just regret that I still have my MSI 3080 Gaming X Trio card and have to configure it separately with Dragon Center.

Lucky youuuu !!! I wanna do the same i think , because MSI doesn't moove his ass , i don't understand the previous Mystic Light for olders motherboards was far better.
Woaw u can do all this with Asus o_O awesome It's like Icue's layers !!! I have a Msi X Trio too but 3070 , but i can't change them now i bought my mobo in december and RTX in january , at this moment i'm looking for a cheap Lighting node pro RGB from Icue and i don't understand why mystic light is so basic and dragon center is a trash of useless softwares from the same who made Msi Afterburner ! What happened to MSI ?? I always bought Msi mobo .... dissapointed

Do I need Dragon Center or can I just download Mystic light
You need dragon center , there's a solution to only open it when u need to change your leds ( on reddit )

Think I will do the same as this software has no customisation whatsoever. I will also go AORUS but it's so frustrating because I really like my x570 Unify but it seems MSI have no interestest in updating Mystic Light with usable options.

Totally agree. Dragon Center is a badly programmed, bad looking, hard to navigate piece of software.

And Mystic Light is lacking so many options. You can't even select any LED styles with for example two colors. It's either rainbow or a static color, nothing in between :(

Years have passed, but MSI has never improved in software. A completely disappointing brand. I bought an MSI keyboard GK50, there is also mystic light support, but the modes are around 7-8. In manual mode, only one key assignment can be made.

No gradient or zone by zone adjustment. No adjust colors animations in different modes. In a word, it sucks.

Another disgrace is that although it is said to work with mystic light razer, it does not. I deleted and installed the SDKs 10 times. I try everyhing. But no. I couldn't connect my MSI keyboard to RAZER synapse.

I totally regret buying the keyboard. The colors are not RGB, but rather like crappy chinese rainbow effect keyboards. Disgusting.

I want to install game sync, it won't load. It is installing, it does not open, I reset it, when the pc boots up, I see that the installation has been deleted.

Mystic light does not work with third party software.

They made an RGB keyboard. RGB modes suck.

You want to color according to the games. No sync apps are working.

Just by buying the keyboard, I realized that the msi quality is actually a complete lie. Good thing I didn't pay a lot of money for their laptops at the time.

Total scam, total regret.

What's worse is. There are dozens of complaints, but they can't solve this situation in any way.

You need an Gaming MSI motherboard for that feature.

Mystic light does not work with third party software.
It dose, if you set it up right.

They made an RGB keyboard. RGB modes suck.
What model keyboard?

You want to color according to the games. No sync apps are working.
They do if you have the peripherals that are supported.

Just by buying the keyboard, I realized that the msi quality is actually a complete lie. Good thing I didn't pay a lot of money for their laptops at the time.
I disagree, MSI in my experience has been outstanding build quality.

Total scam, total regret.

Your regrets are your own. As for dozens of complaints. No one is happy 100% of the time all the time. Most "complaints" can be solved though.

Dozens of complaints? Most can be solved? The current version of software is complete flaming garbage. Once they get that straightened out then maybe people will be able to figure out what hardware/software combinations actually work. Until then, pointless.

If you are going to, for example, buy an MSI Motherboard, Asus GPU, Corsair ram, razer K&M and expect it all to just work. Then that's on you. It is well know that RGB from a mix of venders doesn't play well together.

The software is far from perfect, but when you have everyone making their own RGB control program and making everything proprietary isn't going to help. Personally I thought it was obvious that if you are going to build a PC theses days you are better off trying to stick to one brand as much as possible to mitigate compatible problems.
