So I have a 9950x3d/5080 build in a Lian Li CG237 case with the MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk that's about a month and a half old. I've been running the intake/exhaust and AIO fans RGB with mystic light since purchase. Yesterday I opened MSI center and was notified there was a new version of Mystic Light so thinking nothing of it I did the update. Upon the program restarting when it attempted to resync my RGB the intake/exhaust fans went back to normal but I have now lost control of my AIO lights. They do random things and will not turn off when lighting is shut off in Mystic Light.

I uninstalled and removed all files tied to MSI center and mystic light, and flashed my cmos button to reset the bios.

My AIO fans are still messed up. I can't shut the lights off, and they don't respond correctly to the settings. On top of this, when I tried to run OpenRGB it doesn't detect any of the fans only my mouse and mouse pad RGB.

I don't exactly know where to go from here aside from cutting power to the USB ports through BIOS to see if it will cut power and reset.

Any opinions of suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1. Please use Clean Center Master to Uninstall MSI Center and restart the system.
After system restart, please download MSI Center ver. 2.0.63.0 from website and install again to check: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-X870E-TOMAHAWK-WIFI/support#utility
2. If the described issue persists, please help to collect the log of MSI Center with MSI Collect Log Tool by clicking “Collect Log” button and provide the Report.ZIP file generated in the folder of the “MSI-Collect-Log-Tool” with link to webstorage for checking.

Just made an account to comment here.

As with OP, I updated Mystic light a little while ago (had this PC about 2 months) and it broke the RGB. Mine isnt quite the same issue, but set a different default setting for the RGB on my AIO and the rear fan. Whilst most functions work, when using effects like "breathing" or the "temperature" one, the RGB stutters - its like, low frame rate. Difficult to explain - I can provide a video if helpful. I have re-installed Windows, tried older versions of the Mystic Light and MSI Centre software. I have the MAG B860M MORTAR WIFI motherboard. Any luck getting this resolved at all?

Everytime MSI Center/Mystic Light updates, it automatically resets all RGB settings.
Despite being requested for years, MSI does not feel that it's useful to have a 'save settings/config' option for the time you bother to spend designing your Mystic light settings or the investment you made in MSI products.
Seriously, it's beyond crazy and they are just laughing at us. They must be.

At this point I have to say in all honesty that the question is no longer "Why is Mystic light so crappy" considering how great their products are, but more over 2 other questions:
1) How long must we endure this crappy interface?
and
2) Is anyone out there in MSI-Land listening to us? For a company thats been around for so long they sure as SH** don't seem to care about how bad that interface is.

You can't export profiles; you can't import profiles. It resets or wipes out profiles when it updates and if you don't do automatic updates (which I never will cause I don't trust the software) that so called reminder NEVER advises me of actual updates. I load it up and it seems to constantly stall to load things up. Honestly, the interface is somewhat user unfriendly and presents as a NOOBS approach to a user interface.
There is NO FEEDBACK option
The system tray icon has only ONE option. EXIT!?!?!?!?! Seriously? No one could come up with more imagination? How about maybe listing the 3 profiles from Mystic lights? Maybe a CHECK FOR UPDATES? I'm sure there are more options. Having to enter the application each time is absurd. This provides the appearance of 2 things.
1) development by someone with no experience and no imagination
2) Like it was developed in early 80's by someone who was creating his or her first dashboard ever

Come on guys! People have been complaining forever to improve this poor excuse for a dashboard. Let's get serious and DO something about it?
