Hi,

I purchased a MAG FORCE 100R case that's shown to have RGB connected through Mystic Light software - I pressed the LED button on the top for 3 seconds as mentioned on MSI's website for it but that just turns the RGB lights off?

My motherboard's LED's can be controlled by the software but not the front fans

What am I doing wrong? Can I not control the RGB through the software and it's only through the button?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you

Simply press the LED button for 1 second, no need for long press up to 3 seconds, the LED of front RGB fan would be able to be changed with different colors.

Thanks zerijelly, but i might not have been clear in my question sorry,

I know it can change just by pressing the button once, what i'm asking is - can the colours be changed from the Mystic light software so it syncs with my motherboard colour without me having to physically press the button to find the same colour?

Yes, it can if you connect the LED control board to a JRAINBOW header on the board and activate Mystic Light control

LED Switch Button
Keep pressing the LED button for three seconds, and then users can control the lighting effects via syncing with the motherboard by MSI mystic light app.

Thanks flobelix,

looks like it's not possible, the LED controller and fans are 3 pin, and the motherboard is 4 - after having a quick read through google seems that it's not possible.

Your mainboard does not have a controller for addressable LEDs (5v 3-pin- on MSI boards JRAINBOW header) then but just a more simple RGB controller (12v 4-pin, on MSI boards JRGB header). You can only use the case's controller without software control or syncing.
