Hi everybody,
built a new system a few days ago including a MSI RTX 3090 Suprim X. Other specs include an ASUS ROG Strix Z490 Gaming-E Mobo, an i7-10700k AIO watercooled, 32 GB G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3200 CL14 RAM.
The PSU is a Corsair HM1200i Platinum. All 3 8pins on seperate lines, no cable splitting. Everything runs stock except the memory which is on XMP1 Profile.
My problem is that, whatever I fire at the GPU (Cyberpunk2077, CoD BOCW both in UWQHD maxed out, Superposition Benchmark) according to HWMonitor the GPU caps at 360 watts. That's nowhere near the promoted 420 (450) watts. Results are that I'm 1500-2000 points behind people with similar PC specs in the before mentioned benchmark. The CPU hits 5100 mhz in the 60°C range, while the GPU tops in the low 70's temperature wise.
The vBIOS modes Silent/Gaming change nothing in that regard. I checked the vBIOS versions and got 2 figures which I can find nothing about on dr. google.
The Versions are:
Silent: 94.2.42.0.f4 and Gaming: 94.2.42.0.f5
Did a second clean Win10 Pro install after I installed MSI Dragon Center with the first install, because I had the feeling that this messed things up even more.....but still no changes.
Anyone an idea or similar experiences with the 3090 Suprim X? Could this be vBIOS related? I don't think that the Corsair is not providing enough power to run the GPU properly.
Every input is highly appreciated!
Regards
Lou
