I posted a topic before on how my PC wasn't working, which was due to the CPU not being compatiable. Since then i've got my refund and have purchased a compaitable CPU. However the problem is, i press my power button, the CPU fan starts up, System Fans come on, LED's on the case light up, and the motherboard ones light up. The computer will turn on for a few seconds then turn off. I need help.

Here are my specs

Board: MSI Z87M Gaming
PSU: Corsair CX600 (600w)
Intel core i5 processor - i5-4670k
MEM: 2, 4gb DDR3 IN3t4gnzbii
HDD: 1.36TB Hard drive
COOLER: 120mm cooling fans, Brushless DC fan x3
OS:Windows 7 64bit Professional
GPU: Nvidia Gerforce 660 ti

I'd just like to add, when i start my PC i can hear beeping from the motherboard

- And also i was randomly pressing the power button, and it turned on and started to boot up, however it cut out, and turned off again.

>>Clear CMOS<< and try with just one stick of ram afterwards. If still no help take the system out of case and try the board with basic components on a non-conductive surface.

Okay good news. I've got everything to work, everything is running, however.
When it goes into WIndows Startup it suddenly BSOD. Would this be resolved if i booted a OS from a USB?

Are you able to write down the BSOD code it gives you (and other details if provided by the error) ?

Above + single RAM stick.

Also was the Windows preinstalled or you just installed it when you made it working (after clearing CMOS) ?

I am unable to write down the code, its simply too quick. half a second i'd say.

I guess i'll try that

The windows was already preinstalled. I had Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

:nooo:

So here's a cause of the issue (99% sure about this). Make fresh OS installation.

Okay i'll give that a go tomorrow, i currently don't have a USB with a copy of Windows on it, so i'll have to retrieve it off my friend tomorrow. I'll bump this if the problem continues, thank you for your help so far :)

I had similar issue with my PC when I had preinstalled Win7 on my SSD: causing freeze once it showed up desktop. Fresh installation helped it.

:hat tip:

Okay well thank you for the tips :)

I'd just like to add something rather odd that i've just noticed.

Im able to boot the computer up with the GPU inside, however when i remove it, i have trouble to boot it.

I also have this other problem, which is when i turn on the computer it sometimes doesn't boot, i press it a few times, push a few cables a bit harder into place,  and it just randomly works, it occurs every time though

What cables do you mean?

And how many RAM sticks do you have?
Without GPU you might have to clear CMOS and then should boot.

The 24pin, and the 8 pin, they don't fall out or anything, but, when it fails to boot, i remove them, then put them back in and it works? :/

I have 2

Oh okay i see, ill try that :)
