New BIOS 7E49v1A33 has been released today. I am curious about the impressions of those who have already installed it. Any issues encountered during or after the update? Thank you!

I installed the AMD Chipset Driver release yesterday then installed the 1A33 update for the Carbon this morning. No issues (just had to redo my BIOS settings)

Did you load the default settings before flashing the BIOS or went directly to flashing? I am curious because I have this motherboard for just a month now and on my previous mobo (ASUS X570-E Gaming) I always loaded the default settings first to be on the safe side.
The only "issue" I met so far was that after flashing Windows prompted my to change my pin due to changed security settings (or something like that). It might be related to the following note in the BIOS changelog - "Security update for the Ryzen 9000 series CPU".
Also, my scores in CR 20/23/24 dropped by about 1 percent but it might be related to the fact that the room temperature is now a few degrees higher than before.

Regarding the PIN issue. From my understanding of it, it's because with each BIOS update for some reason MSI decided they'd reset the TPM. I hate this.

Every. Damn. Update. I have to go clear my Ngc folder, reboot, fix my connection for my Microsoft account, setup the PIN again.

Hey, normally I'd say that defaulting the BIOS is good practice, but I did not do that this time. I just loaded the file through the BIOS menu and let it update. After flashing all settings were defaulted.

Regarding the Microsoft account... I don't use that. Local account here all the way.

Are you guys able to get M-Flash to work? I just got this board and am about to throw it out the window. The only way I can flash is to do a flashback and I seem to have stuttering issues no matter what I try. New everything except my RTX 5070Ti (Which might as well be new) and the MSI MPG A850GS 850W power supply they made me buy to get the card. Just did a complete wipe (instead of the reset w/ keeping personal data only) and seeing if I get anywhere with this new bios.

What happens when you try to get into M-Flash mode? You can enter it through the BIOS, or by pressing CTRL+F5 when the PC boots (but the BIOS screen usually passes so quickly that the latter could be a little harder to do).

As a side note, after being in the ASUS camp for more than 20 years (yes, 20!), I feel quite satisfied by choosing this motherboard. The tool-less design is superb and clean (aside from the f*cking PCIe connector at the bottom - there is no way to remove the cable except by lifting the mobo itself, at least in my case). Also, since this is the first PC I have assembled with DDR5, I was prepared to wait for 10-15 minutes for the first boot, with the memory trainings and stuff, but actually everything got configured within a minute (perhaps because I am running with only 32 GB RAM). I am also monitoring the support page for the competitive board ASUS X870E-E (which would have been my other choice if I hadn't bought this one) and I am quite pleased to say that they haven't published a BIOS with the new AGESA yet - probably it is a matter of days but so far MSI support seems better to me in this regards. Just my opinion after one month of use. :)
Btw, not totally sure yet but it seems that with the new BIOS they have fixed the annoying issue to wait for 10 seconds for every HDD in your system to spin up on reboot (this has been discussed in another forum thread) - I did several restarts and the boot times are much better since yesterday.

It never goes to the file selection and just asks to reboot into flash mode. When it goes into flash mode there is just a black screen, never brings up the selection. Then when you turn it off you have to force the machine off like 2 more times before you get any video back. Doesn't matter how long you wait. It is not in memory training either, the debug display shows either 00 with no error leds or shows the CPU temp with no error leds but doesn't load into the OS.

Have you tried to connect your display to another port of the video card or even use the built-in video of the processor? Or try to boot with a minimal set of components? It doesn't sound right to me but we have to rule out all possibilities.

I have tried all ports on the video card and the built-in video. Only component to remove is the graphics card. I am not the only one having this issue. A bunch of people are having the same issue. On the plus side, after my completely clean install I seem to be good so far. Only thing I don't have is the corsair iCue software which apparently can cause similar issues I guess. Just finding this out after having the headset for over a year but never experienced it on my desktop, only my work laptop. My work laptop is giving issues to other people that don't have that software installed so I think that is just a hardware design issue.

I have had Asus boards for sure since 2008, can't remember my first board. I have been Intel though. Last time I had an AMD processor it was the Athlon 64...lol

New BIOS 7E49v1A42 is out now. Any first impressions?
I read many complaints about broken memory overclocking but it is mainly about Tomahawk and B650 mobos. I wonder if it affects the Carbon mobo too.
Perhaps someone could share if he has met any issues with the new BIOS? 😅

Np with xmp most have problems when you OC ram for example I use 6000 ram and OC it to 8000 when I do that system will not boot with new 42 bios go back to 41 and it is stable .that is the main issue with it .
