My config:
1. MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
2. AMD RYZEN 7 3700X
3. T-Force 32 GB DDR4 3200
4. Western Digital 500GB Blue SN550 NVMe Internal SSD Gen3 x4PCIe
5. Rosewill Hive 550S 80 Plus Bronze PSU
6. ASRock Phantom Gaming D Radeon RX 5500 XT 8G OC

My PSU works on my old PC, I have stripped down the build to minimum with just one RAM, CPU, MOBO and NVMe SSD. I shorted the pins for Power Switch, the rig won't POST. Please help.

Is that a HDMI cable plugged into mb hdmi port, or a USB drive plugged into USB port.
if thats a hdmi the mb hdmi ports will not function unless your cpu has an igp which yours does not.
youll have to put in the gpu and plug into that.
dont forget the extra power connector.
if it was me, I would get rid of the antistatic bag.
see the forum sticky.

correct me if I'm wrong, as long as i have the mobo and cpu and that's good enough for POST, i don't hear the beeping, cpu fan won't spin, no power, etc... i have put an old geforce 730 just to prove that it doesn't work.

good try though. you didnt say in your earlier POST about
whether any fans were spinning. so the fan inside the power supply
itself never turns on? so no power at all, hmmm.

technically, i could just plug in the PSU, CPU and MOBO and it should start right? the CPU fan would start spinning, diagnostic led would blink and the buzzer would beep under working condition. but not in my case...

WAIT You have the Motherboard on the Anti Static bag get it off there asap before all things good go boom. That is if you have not already destroyed the board.

Humm have you tried a different power board from the one you have it plugged in to or a different socket on that power board.

Yep already stated no fans moving no lights no nothing, kind of sounds like it dead or died on the Anti Static bag.

DO motherboards still have on board fuses or they gone completely now days and just use the PSU for protection.

Unless a very basic mistake is being made like PSU switch in the off position or shorting the wrong jumpers. Could try to short the Jbat and reset bios Double check all is turned on and your are shorting the correct jumper pins.

No fuses on the boards.

But if no debug LED's are lighting up.....then things aren't getting power.....so....yeah....
