New DKA790GX (non Platinum version) BIOS?

Hello.
I've found some FSB wall at 280MHz - at 279MHz MoBo works perfectly, but at 280MHz it can't even load BIOS. Multipliers lowering and voltages highering won't help - there's really some wall.
Is there any chance to see new BIOS from MSI, that will help me to get through this wall?

Maybe so, but it's not the point.
It may be called ad-lib, but I think that it's possible to understand, what I mean, talking bout FSB here...
I'm sure you're smart one, and you can understand what I'm writing.

BTW MSI doesn't know, that my board don't have any FSB:

And please don't provoke flame no more...

We need to clarify for what we are talking about.

Yes because someone is too lazy to rename it.

"at 279MHz MoBo works perfectly, but at 280MHz it can't even load BIOS."

Setting higher frequency will not bring better performance.
For example you have CPU @ 3000MHz
15x200 or 13x230 will not makes difference in speed.

1. Ok, I mean some basic frequency for AMD, that forms at least CPU, HT, NB, Memory frequencies through multipliers. This one calls FSB in MSI BIOS.
2. What applies to 15x200=13x230 - I totally agree, besides it's my mistake not to provide full info.

Here we go:
AMD Phenom 9550 (locked multiplier, only 11x, no 15x and 13x)
279x11=3069MHz and I can't set my basic frequency (let's call it that way) more than 279. And it seems, that it's MoBo problem - even with low multipliers (on HT, on NB, on memory and on CPU of course) I can't set basic frequency more than this magic value =(( That's not good...

I would test with another CPU, most probably the CPU won't do more.

"279x11=3069MHz and I can't set my basic frequency"

:) Not satisfied from 2200MHz to 3069MHz? +869MHz not enough?

I'm sorry, but I wan't more  :hypocrite:
It runs at 1.35V, so I guess it CAN do more... I'd better find new MoBo for test purpose...
It looks like, that CPU can run faster, cause eve at 280x8=2240 it can't start. Though 3GHz is not a problem for it...
I'm really hoping for new BIOS version.

Try setting a higher frequency along with a lower CPU and HyperTransport multiplier.  Set HTT to 285 and CPU multi to x5.

I've tried that already.
CPU at x5
HT at x3
NorthBridge at x3
Mem at minimum

Can't even load POST screens at 280. at 279 is totally stable.

Try to post at lower settings, then try to increase it over 280 by software like ClockGen or AMD Overdrive or Dual core center.

Great idea! Thank you, I'll try that and post a result.
