No 1Gbps Ethernet option in Device Manager

I am using the MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi. I have a working RJ45, Cat6 1Gbps Ethernet cable, the port on the MB is not damaged (not that I can see), the modem does support 1Gbps. I have updated my BIOS to the latest version, uninstalled and reinstalled the Ethernet drivers, disabled any smart power options ("Green Ethernet," for example). Not a single thing is working. Is there anyone that can help?

What do you mean with no 1 Gb/s option in Device Manager? Is the NIC not shown in Device Manager? In that case try the following reset. Turn off the PC and unplug the PC from the mains and hold down the power button for 30s. Then plug the PC back up and start it. This procedure will drain the 5V Standby voltage line to which the NIC and WiFi adpaters are hooked up and will effectively shut them down (this helps when they are in an undefined state).

Or do you mean the NIC will not connect at 1 Gb/s but at a lower speed?
