Hi everyone,

I need some help with a new build. I can't get any signal on my monitor, even though the motherboard doesn't show any error lights.

Specs:
  • CPU: Intel Core Ultra 5 250K
  • Motherboard: MSI PRO Z890-P WIFI
  • GPU: PNY OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB
  • RAM: Patriot Viper Venom 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
  • PSU: Enermax REVOLUTION III 750 W 80+ Gold
  • SSD: WD_BLACK SN850P 2 TB
  • Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB
  • Case: Lian Li LANCOOL 216
The problem: When I turn the PC on, the EZ Debug LEDs cycle normally (CPU and DRAM lights flash briefly), and then they all turn OFF. No red, orange, or white lights stay on. This should mean the system is working, but my screen stays black ("No Signal").

What I’ve already tried:
  • Displays: Tested on 3 different monitors and multiple HDMI/DisplayPort cables.
  • iGPU: Removed the RTX 5070 Ti completely and tried the motherboard's HDMI and DP ports directly.
  • BIOS: Flashed the BIOS to the latest version (1AD0) using the Flash BIOS Button.
  • RAM: Tested with only one stick in different slots.
  • Mounting Pressure: Loosened the cooler screws to make sure it's not too tight on the socket.
  • Socket: Checked the LGA1851 pins; they look perfect.
  • CMOS: Reset the BIOS by removing the battery
Since the debug lights are off, the motherboard thinks the hardware is fine. Does anyone have an idea why I still have no display? Could it be a faulty motherboard or CPU despite the lights being off?
Thanks for your help!

You should get a white VGA ezdebug led to light up some seconds after the cpu-ram sequence. Otherwise it is not passing POST. ( I also get a very brief green flash.) I would also use the cpu integrated graphics on the backpanel.
the Viper ram kit has caused other Z890 owners problems. Try a different ddr5 ram stick in A2 if you can. Could be another Viper problem. you can search this forum using the keyword "Viper" then look at Z890 entries.

Check for shorting issues inside PC Case,
if you can, try boot with mainboard out of PC case placed on cardbox or wooden table.

Aside from this,
if you can test the CPU in another PC (or/and memory too)

PSU: Enermax REVOLUTION III 750 W 80+ Gold

Have you plugged power cable(s) for the CPU?

When the EZdebugLED goes to boot and the LED is off, can you confirm if your USB NUM lock works ok at this time??
