I'm running one diamond ati 4870 x2 grapics card and 2 sets of 3 gskill 1600mhz ddr3 trichannel ram 9-9-9-24, 1.5-1.6v.  When I power up I get no monitor signal (yes both PCI-e power slots on the card are plugged in).  The dled flashes CPU init, then DDR init, then it restarts.  I've tried changing the CPU overcoock switches.  I know the mannual only has comparability lists up to 1333mhz ram.  Is the some manual settin on the board I need to fix before running the 1600mhz ram?

I removed all but one ram module which is in tv a0 slot & rechecked all connections to my graphics card.  Got a successful boot and am currently installing vista ultimate 64bit.  Tried adding just one more ram module to the b0 slot and ran into the same DDR unit error follwed by a restart.  What do I need to be doing to be able to successfully utilize all 6 ram modules?

What have you got the Base Clock Switch set to? Recommend doing all initial set-up in 133 (Default), & 1 stick RAM in DIMM slot (AO). Many RAM issues have been addressed with the latest bios available by contacting MSI Tech. Support (1.4b3?). Use the MSI HQ Forum USB Flash Tool.

thanks for the post.  I'm running it in the default 133mhz switch mode.  Downloaded and flashed the bios to v1.4b3 and I am still having the same problems when I try to put a second block of ram in the A1 slot.  Posted a help message on the link you gave me as well, no response yet.

Established - runs good with 1 stick RAM in AO (slot #2). If placing just one more stick in BO (slot #4) causes a no boot, it could be a bad mem. stick or maybe a problem with the boards slot(s). Time consuming, but have you tried all 6 sticks individually in slot AO & test for boot? Do you have CPU-Z utility? What does the Memory window show the current frequency & timings are? What does the SPD window show for JEDEC & EPP (XMP)?
