Hello guys
I just build my first PC with:
- MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI II ATX AM5 (2x CPU and ATX_PWR1 connected, PCIE_PWR1 not connected)
- AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 4.3 GHz 16-Core Processor
- MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 850 W
- Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT GAMING OC 16G (left and middle PCIe connected, right one empty with white LED on)
- Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory
- SSD Samsung 990 pro (in slot 1 and 2)

When I start my PC, everything turns on, the fans are all spinning and the LED's are on. When I connect my mouse and key board to the motherboard/PC case they also get power. But I cant get a video signal to my monitor and access the BIOS. On the motherboard the green LED is on, which should be normal as long as no operating system is installed (?). I connected 2 different monitors with different HDMI and DP cables directly in to the grafic card and tried all 4 Slots and tried also the HDMI from the MB. On the monitor I tried HDMI/DisplayPort, DisplayPortMode 1.1 and 1.2, Auto-Switch Input On/Off.

The initial DRAM training shouldnt take more than 20 min, right? I tried taking one RAM card out and starting the system with only one in the A2 slot. Didnt help. I tried powering on the PC with no devices plugged in to any UBS slots. Also didnt help. Does someone might have an idea what could be the problem?

After I put in the USB with Windows 11 into the Flash BIOS UBS slot, the green LED on the MB turned off. But I still dont get any signal to my monitor (input signal not found).

If you get the green BOOT LED, then it's past the memory training phase already, and it should be sitting in the BIOS (or even trying to install Windows from the USB stick), you just don't see the picture for some reason.

What I would recommend here, try flashing the latest BIOS version via the Flash BIOS Button:

1. Download the latest BIOS from the MSI support site for your board and extract it. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B850-TOMAHAWK-MAX-WIFI-II/support
2. Take a USB stick and format it to FAT32 (it's best for it to have a size of 32 GB or less). You can also try Rufus for formatting, as FAT32 non-bootable.
3. Rename the extracted (!) BIOS file to MSI.ROM and save it to the root of your USB flash drive / USB stick (not in a subfolder).
4. Plug the USB flash drive / USB stick that contains the MSI.ROM file into the marked Flash BIOS Port (!) on the rear I/O panel.
5. With the PC off (!), press the Flash BIOS Button, and the LED should start flashing for about 5-8 minutes and then the board reboots.

Anything drastically different (under a minute of flashing, or over 10 minutes of flashing) and the flashing didn't work, so you can abort and try with a different USB stick (sometimes the board can be very picky as to which USB drive it will accept).

But also:

- Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT GAMING OC 16G (left and middle PCIe connected, right one empty with white LED on)

You do need to hook up all three PCIe headers with a cable. Your PSU should have two PCIe power cables with two connectors each. So the third header will have to be populated with the second (daisy-chained) connector from the second cable.

Your solution would be the second from the right here (doesn't matter which one of the headers gets the one daisy-chained connector):

So it's good to hook this up properly first. Then, if you get a picture, update the BIOS anyway, but this time via M-Flash from within the BIOS, it's easier that way. You don't want to suffer from bugs of an outdated factory BIOS version.
