Did you fully charge the battery before you used the notebook?

Do you have the correct Power MAnagement settings applied in Windows?

If there is a problem with the battery, you should contact the vendor who supplied you the notebook, and see if they will replace the battery for you.

I just read a test about a MSI GX600, they says that it has about a 144 minutes autonomy, I don't think that the wifi module is using so much power so, you're probably right, there is a problem somewhere.
On my MSI GX 700, I have a greater autonomy on Vista than on XP, but if you just bought the computer, I suppose you use Vista.

Does you fan is working at maximum speed all the time or something like this ? (it's very noisy when it's at max speed)
You can check with Riva Turner and CPU-Z if the GPU and CPU are well clocked down when on internet or stuff like this (not in games).

thank you for replies. i'm using xp, the power management is ok, the batt. is fully charged and the autonomy is between 90-100min. i thouth that maiby it is another software from msi which can manage my battery. and the cpu-z says in this moment when i just write: core speed 1197.8mhz; multiplier x6; bus speed 199.6mhz; rate fsb 798.8mhz. and the fan is not noisy.

Looks about normal battery times.
Unless you have the heavy-duty battery pack, some of the MSI notebooks have that, like the S270 I have.
The default is a normal pack, but there are also heavy-duty-packs that last about 2x times.
However, you have to check your reseller if there are for yours too.
