Hello all!
I have been having a bizarre issue with my computer not recognizing my 4070 super card sometimes on boot...only sometimes... Most of the time it'll use the 4070 wonderfully with no issues but every 5 or so times, it'll automatically default to the AMD integrated graphics and when viewing the device manager or performance, it seems to not recognize that the nvidia gpu is even plugged in. Usually restarting the computer corrects the issue but every now and again I have to restart 2 times before the 4070 gets recognized. I talked with some guys from NVIDIA and they ran some diagnostics on my gpu and said it looks like it's running correctly from their end - it always turns on with the lights and the fans turning. At this point, I'm out of ideas. Does anyone have any thoughts?
I'm using:
Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
BIOS Version 1.A0 AMD AGESA ComboAM5PI 1.0.9.0
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-core
GPU 1: nvidia geforce rtx 4070 super
gpu 2: amd radeon(TM) graphics

Please Update the Bios some versions did have problems with 4070 and 4080 GPU that were fixed in later Bios Versions.

I've been having the exact same issue since I updated the BIOS because of the CPU uCode 0x125 updated as I have a 4th gen i7.
should I flash the BIOS with an older version? I see that 7D98vH7 also has CPU uCode version 0x123, not sure what the difference is between 0x125 and 0x123.

I upgraded my BIOS from 1.A0 to 1.F0 and the issue seems to be resolved - i haven't had the weird boot issue for quite a while now. Thanks for the help! I will check in later if the issue pops back up.

thanks for the info Medallion. I actually reset the cmos by removing the cmos battery from the motherboard waiting 5 minutes and then insert it back and it boots up fine now.
I see MSI has a newer BIOS update but I'm reluctant to update it as its also a Beta. Maybe when the release a non beta I'll do an update.
