System:
Motherboard: MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Edge AC
RAM: 16 GB (one module removed due to failure)
Graphics Cards: Two tested

Problem:
The NVIDIA graphics card is not detected in the first PCIe slot but works in the second slot. A second graphics card was tested and is recognized in both PCIe slots without issues.

Could it be due to my settings?
Thank you

Hi
That is most likely GPU related problem. If another GPU works in the primary slot, then you need to check the GPU that does not work as intended.

First to clarify. I mistyped some things.

I have a Dual GPU Setup. One AMD Xfx Rx 570 Black Edition OC in the top slot and one NVIDIA Acer 2080 Ti in the second slot. That should give both of them 8x Lanes. This setup worked flawlessly before.

However after one of the RAM modules died. It stopped detecting the Nvidia GPU in the second slot. Neither the slot nor the GPU is defective as it's the combination that seems to be the problem (Nvidia Card works fine in first slot, Other Cards work fine in second Slot).

The Nvidia GPU isn't being detected by any kernel at all anymore. It's like it isn't plugged into the slot properly except it is.

Another thing i discovered is When I remove the AMD card and put the Nvidia card in the first slot it will work. But if I then enable the integrated Graphics, it stops showing up again.

So it doesn't work in the second slot or if another GPU is being detected. The card only works alone fully.

Hmm possibly this kind of setup requires dual channel memory? I have no idea what might have happened here.
