I have MSI Radeon RX 6900 XT GAMING Z TRIO 16G and AMD Ryzen 5950x. I'm not able to find the OC scan button in MSI Afterburner ver. 4.6.4. I tried to uninstall it and reinstall it again, but that didn't help.

I have exactly the same problem. Brand new PC build with Windows 11, MSI RX 6800 GPU. MSI Afterburner installed, no OC Scanner button. Just a blank space. Cannot find an answer in any thread. It would be nice if MSI responded.

MSI don't actually make afterburner, they just sponsor it. you are better off looking for an answer here on the afterburner forum.

Well of course it is a Nvidia Feature only not for AMD

As usual, AMD gets the shaft from software developers

It's called "MSI Afterburner" and on their website MSI clearly state that they make it. So they need to take responsibility for supporting it. Especially when distributing it with GPUs costing £1000 and more. Their lack of technical support is absolutely shocking.

Do you not know how sponsorship or marketing works?

Do you not know how customer service works?
I do thanks, I also know enough to point you to the actual people who make Afterburner, not the people who just pay for its development. As others have said, the functionality is an Nvidea thing. so....

Yep and it was made for Nvidia GPU, not for AMD the fact it works for AMD is just pure luck If you have a problem take it up with the Developer.

And I can tell you now he will just tell you to go pound sand

So why did MSI tell me in the manual to download and install Afterburner to use with an AMD card if it doesn't work with AMD cards?

Sure, you're right and I'm wrong. I should just install software that doesn't work with this product and shuddup about it. Well done Alan & Keith, you have convinced not to buy MSI products again. In fact, I'm just about to check that I'm still within the 14 days that I have to return this GPU. Being rude to your customers, instead of simply providing a polite explanation, is not a winning strategy.

You don't need Afterburner if you are running AMD use the supplied AMD Software it does a way better job than Afterburner can.

Afterburner is only needed because Nvidai is too lazy to develop their own decent OC software.

And no one in the forums works for MSI
You were let know that it scanner not work with AMD and that yes it dose suck that it dose not work, then you had a go at the people who answered you.
We all volunteer our own time to help end users and well you did say

And no where could I find on the AB page MSI claiming it was there software that is develope and owned by them

That's a more reasonable response Alan, thank you. I didn't "have a go" at anyone, if you look again I simply responded to Keith in exactly the same way that he replied to me. I'm never rude to people on the internet, but I do bite back if someone starts being a dick to me.

In reply to your last comment, MSI say all over their website stuff like:

It even works with non-MSI cards, eh? That's the kind of thing you only write if you actually make it. Sadly, it doesn't even work *WITH* MSI cards. Anyway, I think we've achieved all we can here. Thanks for the info.

I believe it's done for "brand awareness." It dose work with MSI cards, just not AMD cards, from anyone. You can be as mad as you like about it. The fact remains that it was made for Nvidia cards. Afterburner will work with AMD cards, you just don't have an auto OC option. There are AMD OC software options, you'd be better off looting at them.
