Hi guys,

when i shutdown my desktop i get the following sound.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/9CIRbC4J_dw

Does anyone know if this is a common problem, or how I can fix it?

Or would the best idea be to RMA it?
My Specs:

Board: MSI GAMING 5 Z97
Bios:  Version 1.8
VGA:  MSI GTX 970 4gb (3.5gb LOL)
PSU:  OCZ Fatality 550W ( 25A 12v rails)
CPU:  Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
MEM:  Kingston Fury White Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
HDD:  Crucial m4 256GB SSD
COOLER: i5 stock
OC:    None
OS:    Windows 8.1 64bit Professional

- I've updated to the latest bios version and still have the same issue.
Sound does not come from speaker's, but form the board itself.

Your PSU feels suspicious. Can you test something stronger from quality brand?(corsair antec seasonic). Ask friend or local PC shop if they can test your PC with good power supply.

Just bumping this, as I've now tried with an EVGA 650 G1 Gold rated PSU and I still have the same sound.

That... Sorry, just watched it, as I didn't do it before.

It's quite normal (I'd say). In my case, it comes through headphones. Disable/disconnect all headphones/speakers (sound based devices) and see if it occurs again.
It doesn't always happen but think it's some like power discharge when suddenly my headphones lose power (yes USB+Jack) they just go like so.

Yes! That was it, it's when I have a USB headset/speakers in. Ah, you legend. My mind is at rest now. Thank you.
