So I just received my new monitor today. It powers on, is detected by computer but nothing displays. I can see the backlight so I know its on but it displays nothing. Even the OSD menu doesn't display.
List of things I've done so far:
Tested several Displayport Cables -fail
Tested 2 different HDMI cables -failed. All cables work fine on my other 2 monitors
Tried a different PC - failed
Tried different ports on GPU- failed
Downloaded monitor drivers and installed
Physical inspection - No sign of damage to screen or packaging
Purchased brand new.
It cost me a small fortune ($400+) and a whole month to ship it here so unless someone's paying, sending it back is not on my list of options.
Any help would be appreciated. Maybe something I missed?

It cannot found this model-MAG34CQR on MSI website so please double confirm model name again.

Step1: Please plug-in power cord on Optix MAG342CQR and press power button on Optix MAG342CQR .
Make sure power LED is ON / Orange color on Optix MAG342CQR.

Please refer manaul on page 1-5/1-6 for Power Button as below:
LED Indicator
White: On
Orange: Standby

Step2: Please connect cable form monitor to PC/System. (HDMI cable or DP cable.)
Don't use adapter. Example: VGA to HDMI.

Step3: Please plug-in power cord on PC/System and press power button on PC/System.
Please confirm power LED will be ON / White color after booting on this system.

Confirmed. Light is Orange once no signal from PC.
Once PC is turned on, Light is White. Monitor is detected by windows and even shows up in display settings. Only issue is nothing displays.
Monitor is directly connected to GPU. no adapters. I have tried both HDMI and DisplayPort cables.
Pressing the menu buttons on the monitor shows nothing either. :(

I have the exact same issue. Just got the monitor yesterday. Wentto use it today. Blacklit screen but no display, cant access menu. Tried different cables and computers

Unfortunately no from my end. I've been told to return it for repair, but it would cost me more than the monitor just to ship. So it's pretty much money out the window for me. Sadly.

Bumping this in case anyone else has any info. This just happened to me today. Windows is able to identify the monitor and you can see the backlight but no picture. Really annoying that this monitor died after only 3 years.

Bought it yesterday. Got it to work for a few minutes then same black screen issue. Put it back into the package with the intention to return it in store today. Thought to my self, what if it will work when I get to the store and I'll look like a fool. Unpack again today, connect it through HDMI directly to my laptop - WORKS!

Celebrating and mounting it to monitor arm, rearranging cables and connecting through dockingstation. Still works - awesome! Continue my way to... black screen. Friggin furious at the moment and will cool down before returning it to store.

Edit: Guy at store changed my monitor to a new one. Works! Only issue now is that I get 100 Hz at max resolution, not 144 Hz as advertised. Gonna pursue that in another thread tho.
