Hi Guys, first of all nice to meet you ;)

I'm an old MSI customer but just recently I bought an Optix MPG321UR-QD and I decided to jump in here to see if I can find some help for an annoying issue !

Recap of my config:
- Nvidia 1070 GTX connected via DP (4K@120Hz resolution)
- G-Sync enabled
- Monitor FW ver. 0.17

Description of the misbehavior: I can be browsing the Web, playing a game, reproducing some HDR content or simply sitting on my desktop when the monitor goes black for an handful of seconds every 3/5 minutes while changing 'something' :wall:

Whenever this happens, once the picture comes back, I can see the 'HDR' popup appearing in the right upper corner of the screen
... it looks like the HDR mode goes on and off for some reason and I can confirm it should be something like this since, while watching HDR content, you can immediately spot the change in colors brilliance when it goes off (the image immediately becomes dark and 'dull' so to speak).

I'll try a FW upgrade and see if this helps somehow.

Support said latest FW is 0.24 but the file name of the latest one available on MSI website contains a 'FW.017' substring which 'smells' :(

Let's see what happens ...

I hope MSI support will provide me the test load; at the moment I've a very expensive and useless monitor sitting on my desk so I need either a solution or to bring it back ;)

I am having a similar issue on my PS321URV monitor.
Upgraded the HDMI cable and it has fixed it mostly but still happens on occasions.

I was using DP but, I could be wrong, I didn't notice the problem while connected through HDMI (I did just a quick test with the provided cable)
I had to move to DP only because, via HDMI, I was stuck to 60hz :(

When such issues change with the cable, I'd guess some sort of 'false electrical contact' either with the cable pins or monitor port.

I used the DP cable supplied with the monitor so a brand new one ... could it have been defective ?!

Anyway CH support in the end didn't provide any test FW and or any solution while US support told me to send the monitor back to the factory since a mobo component could be malfunctioning.

... just for completeness sake ;)

I'm curious on how do you update the firmware when it comes out. In Gaming OSD system settings i see it show under firmware update it shows scaler, MCU and Joystick.

Exactly, another thing driving me crazy :angryfire: !!! ... when you release the documentation, how could it be you don't even check if what you write is applicable to the product !
... anyway, ruling out the Joystick, it should be the 'scaler': the version on OSD matches what you see on the display menu, right down corner (FW version)
