Over Heating

Bought my Laptop a few weeks ago, and have noticed immediately, that it over-heats way too fast.
Within ten minutes of gaming (STO, SWTOR, Rift) laptop over-heats and disconnects from said game, or flat out shuts itself down.
It's great otherwise, but debating sending it in, or just returning it and getting something else.
Have also noticed that battery life is also bad. Full battery (100%) unplug, immediately goes from "7 hours remaining" to 31 minutes of battery life. So, yes, seriously debating going with a different brand if this is a common issue.

Try elevating the rear of your laptop to introduce additional airflow. I was having the same issue with my Vector GP66 and this rectified it. Alternatively, you can purchase cooling mats for laptops, which could help too. I'm currently using an old tablet to elevate the rear of the laptop and haven't had a crash since.
