beta BIOS for P35 Platinum & P35 Neo2 Series(MS-7345, PCB 1.1) ver V1.4B3:

My system will freeze in windows when i use any of these bios:
v1.8 (official)
v.1.8b5
v1.9b6
others not test yet...

but my system seems stable when i'm using bios A7360IMS.182T

something wrong there?  :huh:

I doubt that your problem is BIOS related and to be honest, you should stop flashing any BIOS until you have isolated the cause of the problem.  If your system freezes during the flash procedure you can say good bye to your board for now.

flashing was successful, but my windows os was not stable using the bios that i mention before.

My system:
MSI P35 Neo2-FR
Intel Pentium 4 E541 @ 3.2GHz
Tuniq Tower 120
OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel 2x1GB
Galaxy 9600GSO 384M 192BIT GDDR3 (driver v175.16)
Maxtor 200GB SATA, Samsung & Maxtor 160GB SATA
Lite-On & BenQ DVD-RW
Huntkey Green Star 550W PSU
Cooler Master Centurion 590
WinXP SP3 (fresh install)

What board do you have exactly? 

A7345IMS.1xx BIOS Files are for MS-7345 PCB 1.x boards only (P35 Neo2-FR/FIR and P35 Platinum).  The A7360IMS.182T-BIOS was released for the P35 Neo(-F) [MS-7360 PCB 1.x].  So please, provide full and accurate sysem information before you do anything else.  If you have flashed an MS-7345-BIOS on an MS-7360 Board, the cause of the problem appears to be quite clear:  you flashed the wrong BIOS.

Now, if you want any help and advice, please identify your mainbaord correctly (model number and PCB Version are printed on the board), provide FULL system specs and open your own thread as this one is not suited to discuss individual problems at full length.

My mobo : MSI P35 Neo2-FR PCB v1.2

i keep wondering why my system don't have any freeze problem when using A7360IMS.182T bios.

flashed ok to 1.9B7
only difference i can see is that on my Q6600 g0 cpu temp is minus 5 from previous values (both idle/load)
core temp is the same

Upgrading from 1.8 to latest 1.96 beta bios on my P35 Platinum MB, the CPU temp reading on my Q6600 G0 in both Speedfan and Everest reads abour 10 to 15C less - actually BELOW ambient temp. Core temps remained the same. CPU use to be slightly below core temps. Now it is showing 17C while cores are between 26 and 32. I AM water-cooled, but not by ice water!

Same thing here with E6850.
It happens with all 1.9 beta bioses (at least the 2-3 last ones that I tried).
My friend has a Q6600 B3 , same thing when he flashed with 1.9 beta6.

I think MSI has messed up something in 1.9 beta bioses.

Can anybody clue me in as to whether or not this beta bios includes a newer Marvell Sata/IDE firmware?  The official 1.8 Marvell version ended in L64 and is visible during boot if the controller in enabled.

Also, how many betas do they normally go through before they release official?

in the beta 1.9B7 the version of controller is L69 but it didn't solved my PIO mode problems with pata hdd.
so I've sold my pata hdds...now I use only sata.
Have you got Pio mode problems or what?

No, A single Lite-ON DVD-RW SATA that just is just too dang finicky and doesn't want to burn ISOs.  I use CDBurnerXP in Vista x64 for burning.
