P43 neo3-f custom bios sought with PCIE adjustment capability

I am seeking a bios for p43 neo3-f board rev 1.0  that is modified to include the PCIE adjustment where pcie freq can be raised from 100 to something higher. At least a range of 100 - 125. All other aspects of bios are ok as is,just this one feature as an additition. On my board this pcie freq is locked at 100, and even with a windows utility like SetFsb, it can only be raised to abt 104.  I know this adjustment shouldnt be raised to high as it can damage video cards ect, i have safely ran my card at 110-115 with no problems at all and it has allowed a much greater overclocking headroom to FSB. My current board ,the p43neo3-f stops overclocking abruptly at 417fsb and will only go higher when pcie freq is raised slightly.I had requested help on the limited overclocking aspect of this board in other threads,no existing setting in original bios ,cell menu ect  or volts adjustment seems to affect this wall. raising pcie is the only thing which allowed a higher fsb and the org bios does not have the feature listed, enabled in the cell menu..i have seen some msi bios in which the cell menu Did have pcie adjust.Anyway, it would be awesome if you could mod the p43 neo3-f bios to have this feature.

my current bios is version 1.2...  I have tried versions 1.0- 1.4 and settled on this one as it allows my 800ddr to run at 1000- 1066 speeds ,whereas version 1.4 did not.

my specs in brief are msi p43 neo3-f rev 1.0, E6400 cpu, 2 samsung sp0812c 80gig in raid 0 on jmicron controller, 2gigs gskill ddr 800, palit 8800gt sonic 1 gig card, 400 watt pwr supply with 20 amps on single rail.


at present its running at 417 fsb with 8x multi at 3.34 gig.temps are abt 38-40c idle with 1.26v cpu.

If you could add the pcie adjust option into the cell menu it would be fantastic. i was inclined to choose a different board just to have that adjustment in bios. let me know if you need any more info BossKiller. Modding either 1.2 or 1.4 or both would awesome! Thanks for ur help and response

yes Bosskiller I DO have Adjust PCI Frequency (MHz)"  in my cell menu, but that refers to PCI speed, NOT PCIE express speeds.
The Adjust PCI Frequency (MHz)"  option allows 33 ,37 ect speeds to the PCI bus.
the option i was requesting is PCIE adjust, and some msi bioses have this in their cell menu as well. this adjust allows PCIE card speeds adjust from 100- 150 mhz or more usually.

Have you tried to apply 37 or 42 and then to check PCI-E freq. too?

yes , i have tried both the 37 and the 42 settin.gs  ..what happens is PCI speed jumps from 33.6 default, to the new numbers. BUT the PCIE speed remains at 100mhz  and does not change.. Do you think its possible to Add that feature to the bios? even if it meant loosing the pci adjust  to gain PCIE adjust, id welcome it.

i have already tried to contact msi abt these matters and was given a generic answer to my questions, where they just suggested asking forum if i had any problems!. Obviously, they didnt care to respond with any technical  advice I had asked you abt modding a bios to add this feature because i thought that people in this thread were able and willing to try such requests. i may have asumed wrong.I wont post any further request for custom bios mods if its somehing that noone in this forum could assist with.  thanks again for ur assistance

Think that you have asked by wrong way. {They probably assume that you need help with OCing and forwarding to the forum}
Just ask them about PCI-E Freq. control option if its possible to be add-ed.

Hay skip, Id ask for them to forward the idea to the bios development team, i gave them a link to my forum posts and about general overclocking problems with details and asking for bios to adress it and and they said:

Thanks for informing us about that.and we will pass this information to BIOS deparetment.Thanks.

hi craig, i also sent msi a request for a bios mod with the pcie option and asked as u mentioned, that it be forwarded to bios development team..  thanks craig and Boss for ur suggestions
