Hello,

My P67A-C45 (B3) turned with the v1.08 Bios and had problem with Razer Deathadder 1st release 1800dpi.
I saw on website that the 1.A Bios improved gaming mouse compatility so I flashed to 1.B (v1.11) Bios version but the problem persist (running well with old usb mouse Logitech and Lenovo but not with Deathadder).

Is someone have the problem (or not) with the new Deathadder version or Imperator or SteelSeries Ikari ?
I think I have to change mouse but want to be sur that I will have no problem with the new one...

Thank you.

More simply : is someone use a gaming mouse as

- SteelSeries Ikari optical or laser
- Razer Imperator or Deathadder 3500dpi
- Logitech MX518

and does it turn well on your MSI P67 mobo ?

Thank you.

This user had a problem with the Razr mouse on a different P67 board and it was fixed by a BIOS update. https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=146480.0#lastPost
Suggest you contact MSI technical to enquire if a BIOS upgrade on your board may also be available for this issue.>>How to contact MSI.<<

Yes, I read is topic but thank you for the link.

I updated the motherboard Bios with the last version (v1.B) so I think my problem is that I can't update the firmware of my mouse.

I've tried to update it last year when I go to windows 7 but impossible to do. I tried on different computers on XP or 7 but it failed each time.
I contacted Razer at the time but we never found a solution and the warranty was increased. And the mouse turned right with windows 7 with is old firmware and driver on my last PC, so... but this time I really have problems.

Brief, I think the problem is the mouse firmware, not the mobo Bios (topic you link to me).

But I want to be sur it will turn right before changing !!! (not rich) That's why I ask if someone use one of this mouses...

Thank you for your help.

Did you update the mouse drivers before trying to update the firmware? Which Firmware version did you try updating to?

As far as BIOS & the mouse goes your posting in that other topic is irrelevant because mouse & MB's are not the same and different BIOS for each MB & different firmware for the mice as well. As Bernhard said you would need to contact MSI to see if they might be able to help with a BIOS fix. Just because you have the latest posted BIOS does not mean they can't provide one with a possible fix for your problem.

That's one of the main reasons we say don't hi-jack other peoples topics even though you may have similar problems.

Ok, sorry for topic hi-jacking.

First time I tried to update mouse firmware is in march 2010 and I put the last driver before updating - as Razer say - but nothing to do (I don't remember numbers of firmware and driver but I'm still 1.10 firmware and only 1.05 driver run well - Tried also to update firmware step by step but failure each time).

I just said I update last mobo Bios because v1.A "improved USB gaming mouse compatibility" in P67A-C45 section on website (was on 1.8 and go to 1.B).

So, as you tell me, I contacted MSI Support this morning and waiting reply.

Thank you helping me.
