On start up I get a beep code of one long and two short beeps.  When I plug in all of my USB devices (S :biggthumbsdown:aitek joystick, pedals, Track IR, and CH Products MFP) I still get the one long and two short but then it pauses and I get an additional three beeps?  Any ideas?  Thanks for reading,  Mitch

Please help the forum members to be able to better help you by providing more details of your system >>Posting Guide<<. B3 mainboard? Current BIOS version? Short answer is the beeps are indicating the number of USB devices connected.

My system is a P67A-GD65, Intel I5-2500K, 4GB Corsair Vengeance Memory, WD Raptor 150, MSI GTX460 Hawk Talon Attack, Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit.  I just got an answer from MSI Customer Support that said that this is a normal beep code for having USB devices plugged in.  I have never heard of anything like that in the past and am not sure if they even understood my inquiry.  Any help that you can give would be great.

Thanks, M

Like the 'short answer' of Reply #1, & from what official MSI Tech Support answered, fairly sure it is the USB connected device indication. As long as everything is working normal & without other issues, if the beeps are overly annoying, some disconnect the case speaker from the mainboard's JFP2.
