For the record, I got my MB back about two weeks after sending it in for RMA - when I got it back, it worked with my E8400. So whatever they did at the RMA center worked for me.  ;D

Hi. I've recently purchased a P6N SLI Platinum and a CPU INTEL|C2D E8400 3G 775 45N processor. For the life of me, I cannot get this board to boot with the aforementioned Wolfdale processor. I have tried the 1.6v BIOS, loaded from the USB Key utility, to no avail. I cleared my CMOS and all of that rot, and still no dice. If anyone could shed any light upon this issue, I would be MOST appreciative. Thanks in advance!

Video Card: EVGA 512-P3-N841-AR 8800GTS
Processor: C2D E8400
Memory 2GB x2 G.Skill
PSU ROSEWILL 600watt
OS: Windows XP 32bit, going to be 64bit once I can get the processor working
HDD: 500gb Western Digital Caviar SE

Which BIOS Version are you using now?

If you have a BIOS-Version prior to v1.3b2 and are experiencing slowdown problems, update to the latest official BIOS available on the product page for your board. It includes all changes and fixes that were part of earlier Versions.
