*** Flashing either of these BIOS' are at your own risk. Do not complain if you end up with a paper weight! ***

Flashing the safe way:

Use Method 1 or Method 2, both will do the same job.

Use it at own risk.
Before you flash!!:

Make and ensure PC is stable before proceed, remove any OC if you have.
Flash it via DOS mode by booting from USB key, CD/DVD.

Hi,
Im running the p7n zilent mobo with the 750 chipset and q9450 cpu and ocz ram.
I updated the bios successfully and the video corruption was gone....for a while.
As the other user posted, it came back but this time horizontal green corruption rather than the previous vertical corruption.

This is just a beta so hopefully it will be fully fixed by the official release.
In the mean time, any ideas?

Hi,
What about the CPU temperature? I heard that the P7N DIAMOND didn't report it correctly.
As for the video corruption thing, I guess I've been very lucky because I've watched like 100 youtube-like videos (BIOS v1.0 & v1.1, no beta installed yet) and so far the problem has appeared only once! Never tried playing a DVD though! I'm kinda scared to try that. :)

Anyway, I do hope these problems are all gone once the final 1.2 version is out, I'm glad I didn't RMA this board, I really like it even though it has some issues. Thanks for working on these problems.

If someone could fix a screenshot of the new video corruptions post-beta it would be nice. I contacted MSI about it and they wanted me to set them up with a screenshot. Which might take a while considering how random the problem is =p

DragonSpawn, I think the reason they ask you for a screenshot is that they want confirmation of reproduceable bugs with specific hardware configurations. For instance I had a bios related issue awhile back that only gf9 series cards would run into when running nvidia graphics drivers on a specific OS. It was very odd but they worked on it and my issue was solved. Best to keep your dialogue with them to your specific reproduceable issues and whatever hardware you happen to be running and let other users open their own bug reports. I think in the end this serves them best as well as everyone fortunate to have this mobo. Best luck to you and keep faith. I think they are working very hard to make every user have an enjoyable experience.

flashed 1.2b1 bios. no more video corruption (left my computer playing DVDs and DivX/Xvid all night long in repeat mode), 9.5 multiplier is back for my E8500, everything very stable... do I need to say more ? actually, the best bios available for the P7N Diamond for "normal users". :)

thanks bosskiller for uploading this one :worship:

Same here so far so good...........very stable. I was using the P04 beta before this one, and so far no corruption and I am able to OC my E8400 to 4.25 GHZ on air. :agrees:

Well TBH I don't see the issue of someone posting a screenshot of the same problem. If it looks exactly identical to the corruption I did get, which for example fits rakd999's description, there isn't really a problem with showing that to MSI.

I just got the video corruption, weeks after moving to the beta bios. It looks and happens exactly likes before, and my computer totally crashes eventually, like it always does when the issue appears, forcing me to manually shut it down. I hope this gets  110% fixed when the official bios is released.

Installed the P7N SLI Platinum v124.rar bios because i got 2 days in a row the video corruption after installing the new 177.41 driver (with modified inf for 8800GT). So far so good but when i look into the boot options i cannot choose to boot from my DVD-ROM or DVD-RW? Is this normal?

Using 1.21beta BIOS, I cannot underclock below 1800mhz without it failing to post  ??? I'll try third party programs but the BIOS still seems the best option. (On a side note, overclocks to 4ghz beautifully)

Hi,

I use the new bios 1.2 for P7N Platinum. But I dont get very good overclocking result where do I get the best overclocking best bios that was releast after the 1.2 official?.
thx

Open a thread in the Overclocking Section, provide full system specs (>>Posting Guide<<), give an overview your OC results with all corresponding BIOS settings you have tried so far and try to explain the problems you are running into when you overclocking attempts result in an unstable system.  I am sure users will help you if they know more about your system and your settings (including BIOS suggestions).

BOSSKILLER, can you get us a new beta for these E0 stepping chips? All the bios I have are puking on e8600 and q9650 in the P7N.

Ok, thanks for looking around at least. I'll open a support ticket and see what they come up with. They may already have something in the test lab they don't post to the ftp yet.

Is there a simalar fix that supports e8400 (rev E0), cause im back to not getting my system to post after doing this bios on my p7nsli-fi. Back to v2.1 with stuck multiplier... :(
