Flashing the safe way:




Use it at own risk.
Before you flash!!:

Make and ensure PC is stable before proceed, remove any OC if you have.
Flash it via DOS mode by booting from USB key, CD/DVD.

Does it solves cold boot ? (I have this annoying problem grrr ...)

If you are having problems with your system post it in intel boards or if trying to overclock post under overclocking be sure to list your complete system including power supply specs please.

Why intel board  ?

Cold boot after overclock is a knowned problem on this motherboard and I just want to know if it corrects the problem ...

- 450 Watt power supply Corsair
- 2GB Geil memory ultra (pc6400)
- Noctua NH-U12F
- MSI 8800GT 512MB O/C edition
- C2D E4500

and I can't exeed 1240MHz FSB even touching the voltage and multiplier coeficient ... 

Please help

No, not currently. We upload the BIOS' as they come, just check back every now and then.

Mine too! I can run my E2200 (M0 stepping) stable @ 10 x 310MHz ( = 1240MHz in BIOS) but after that it nearly won't boot at all unless I crank up all of the Voltages to almost their maximums (except the DRAM-Voltage) and that's crazy!

But, I still have factory BIOS 1.0 on my board and I saw a 1.1 and 2.0 BIOS on the MSI Website.

2.0 has datestamp 2008-03-24 but it doesn't show up in the Live Update Online webapplication

So tonight I'd flashed BIOS 2.0 on my board but it didn't change a thing. Wouldn't boot at higher FSB speeds then BIOS 1.0

Could u please send me the P04 beta bios

This bios plus running either corsair or OCZ or even geil my oc's are stable with this bios. Running the correct memory also helps. MY ocz vx alpha's run very fast and gave me the highest 3dmo6 score of 18,883. I just purchased 4 gigs of corsair dominators (cas3 ) running only 2 gigs right now and its stable at 1200 mhz with fsb of 1600mhz, or running them at spec at 1T. MSI still needs to address issues with this board...........future bios updates need to address stability and performance especially with different types of ram. This bios is the best so far for me but still needs improvement.

Sorry for bringing up the old thread but i am having the cold boot problem also and it was never really cleared up if this version helped the problem at all.  I just dont want to take the risk of flashing if its not going to help the problem which still happens in the V. 1.3 (official) Bios.
